I've stayed in quite a few hotels in Paris by now and the Hotel de L'avre offers good quality and prices for short stays. The rooms are very small, but for Euro 65 you can't expect the Ritz. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel has a great WiFi connection. Also, the hotel is within walking distance to...

I recently returned from Paris after staying 6 nights at the Hotel de L'avre. The comments from this site were very accurate and the common themes of good value and convenient location are not an exaggeration. I was very impressed by how nice the staff were, especially Samia, in helping to do things such as book dinner reservations or arrange...

We spent 4 nights in this hotel in a double with garden view room, and I can say that the room was relatively small but was extremely comfortable and clean. The bath room (specially the bathtub) was tiny but perfectly functional. The personal is very polite and always ready to assist you. The rooms (at least the ones at the...

We spent 3 nights here in August 2005. It was our first trip to Paris, and we chose this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews. We were not disappointed! It is a great hotel, just 2 blocks away from the Metro and very close to the Eiffel Tower. If you aren't afraid to walk, many other major sites are within walking...

This hotel is in an excellent position, being in walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and being surrounded by shops and near a Metro station. For the price we paid (73 euros plus breakfast of 7.50 euros per person for a double room) we considered it excellent value. Our room was comfortable, clean and quite good for Parisian standards for...

I stayed there with my son and his friend. We had 2 rooms, both were tiny, and I mean tiny. In the single room (my room), there was 1 single bed and a small desk, and that was it, and there was hardly enough room to walk around the bed. The kids' room was slightly bigger. The rooms were furnished...

Hotel de l'Avre was our Paris home from the 2-6 July. We had two rooms looking onto the courtyard. We woke to the sound of birds and church bells. Both rooms were well presented and clean. The bathroom facilities were adequate. The hotel is is a non tourist area however we found great places to eat on the Rue de...

My partner and I stayed at the Hotel de L'Avre from July 11 to 18 and were very happy we did. Sure, the rooms are tiny (that's normal in Europe), but they're clean and comfortable, which is all that really mattered to us. There is no air conditioning and the weather was quite hot when we were there (32 -35...

This hotel was one of best I stayed in through my five week trip. The owner, Bernard, was extremly welcoming and always ready to help (even with translations!) The hotel itself was quaint and private oasis away from the hussle of Paris. I had a double room to myself, with private bathroom, desk, wardrobe, TV (with CNN) and extra blankets....

My husband and I stayed for four nights. We liked this small hotel very much. Perfect location (a few minutes walk to the metro), small but clean rooms. Liked the colours, yellow and red. We had a room on the garden, and woke up by song from birds. Not bad in a big city like Paris! We liked the friendly...
