Hotel's Favourite
We have spent a week for a special occasion in Paris. Our stay at the hotel was amazing. The location is quite central and close to various attractions and main shopping areas. The staff were quite helpful especially Edouard who patiently answered all our questions and went above and beyond to find the best deals to reserve for tourist attractions, taxi, …etc. His extra support made our stay more enjoyable. We will definitely be back.

So, my family and I got two rooms at this place. The first room was fine (or so we thought) until we realized that the AC did not work in the middle of summer! (How lovely). Then we go to the next room, where there is a WATER LEAK from the ceiling and a huge puddle of water on the floor. We were able to get a new room, but it took a lot of angry words. Now back to the first room. Apparently they knew the AC was broken, yet did not say anything and refused to give us a new room. And to top it all off the bathroom was disgusting. There was stuff on the toilet seat, absolutely disgusting. Horrible hotel. Please do not stay here

the location of the hotel in fantastic with easy access to the METRO and the champs E Lyess. the Breakfast is very good. the rooms are old and shabby and need a makeover. not suitable for staying with children in the same room as the premium rooms are small to accommodate children requiring an Extra bed. we checked in at midnight and the check in was not a nice experience at all and our room with extra bed wasnt ready.

Except for the location - everything else is awful. The room, the service, the amenities, the experience are undoubtedly one-star. The room was very, very tired. The service was horrible (had to wait 10mins to check-in at 10pm…) and I was woken up at 3am by reception who called the wrong room. There is no real room service. I would definitely not book there again. … and to top it all off, it was over €600/ night.

5 stars ? Definitely not! 3 - maybe. Actually, in a good 3 star hotel you won’t see things I’ve seen in Radisson Champs-Élysées. Look at the photos I added and you’ll understand. I don’t even know where to start- mold on the walls in washroom, broken tiles falling out, thick and dusty spider nets in corners of your room, dirt and even anti sanitary (shocking story is coming, keep reading), broken furniture, everything inside the hotel is so old you feel like it’ll fall apart if you touch it. The only two good things about this place are - location (I booked the room with a view so at least this was pleasant) and a friendly, helpful staff at the reception- they’ll try to assist you if they can, but don’t expect a lot because as I said the hotel is very old and shabby, seems like the management is trying to skimp every cent, using all possible ways. Apparently this greediness has no limits as the stuff is clearly told to save on everything, even on daily washing and cleaning. Example : Receptionist came to my room to fix the tv (which was not working because it’s too old) clean dishes and cutlery was on the coffee table he accidentally pushed the spoon off the table, spoon fell down to the floor, receptionist picked up the spoon and put it back on the plate like nothing happened. Let me remind you - they call themselves « 5 star hotel » yet they seem to follow « 5 second rule » like children in kindergarten. Ok, that’s not the worst as I saw what happened and simply didn’t use the dirty spoon. BUT couple days later I came back to my room and found a dirty dish in a sink in my washroom. I couldn’t understand how a dish I used in my room turned out to be in a sink. For a second I thought to myself « maybe maid instead of replacing dirty dishes simply washes them here, in a sink, without washing liquid, just putting a bit of water so they look clean ? » but then I told myself it’s a silly thought, why would a 5 star hotel do that, it’s literally anti sanitary- dishes, cups… those things always taken to the kitchen and washed properly, how can a hotel let different people use same cups without washing them- it’s not possible for a 5 start place. Well… I was wrong ! And the next day I realized it when after drinking tea from that cup I woke up with a terrible throat infection. Thanks God it was my last day in Paris because I literally spent the next 10 days recovering, at home, with a bunch of medications. Fever, loss of voice and a horrible inflammation, I’ll spare you the ugly details. Doctor confirmed virus and when I asked “could the dirty dishes be the cause” he replied positive. I usually never get sick, I’m young and my immune system is very strong, but this virus got me like crazy. Haven’t been that sick for many years. Imagine if it would happen to someone older and with weaker immune system?! So is the hotel clean and safe ?! Definitely NOT ! P.S. also I would not suggest this place for couples as the toilet has no door (only a glass partition) means if you traveling with someone, whatever you’ll do in a toilet the other person will hear as clear as if they are standing right next to you

The front of house and wait staff are under-trained in the etiquette of service. Breakfast was good but the service was poor. Front of house could not arrange transport to the train station causing me and my family from the US to literally "miss the train". We told them that we had 5 persons and 8 pcs of luggage. The transport was scheduled for 10am and we were told that they had a problem with a driver! We waited another 15 minutes having to take separate cars at variuos intervals while paying 33 eur for special transportation which was a hassle because they didn't want to put a bag in the front seat. I believe the front desk convinced the driver but this cost us several thousands to take an uber from the train station to the airport and fly from Paris to Germany where we stayed at Raddison Blu- Mannheim, Germany and had a wonderful stay. Back to Paris, Room 201 had a sink that is basically unusable as it never drains. Room 205 had scratches on the floor that look like an exorcism had taken place. Carpeting was stained and the lounge had chairs that was old. So old that they had dented cushioning. Windows are old with bad locking mechanism. Furniture was old and barely funtional. I have not stayed in a budget hotel but I bet it's as good as this hotel. To end on a high note, the location is perfect for shopping and sightseeing and the concierge were nice and helpful.

The only advantage is its location in Paris. I categorize the over all evaluation of this Radisson Blu Hotel between a 3 to 4 star. It does not live up to the value for money. I request that my evaluation to be taken with care and attention. Thanks.
