We got mostly lucky with this accommodation in that we didn't experience the problems that other reviewers have highlighted. However, it still wasn't an ideal place to stay by far and I would't recommend it to a friend. When we arrived, the receptionist offered to take us in the lift to our room on the third floor. There were no...

This hostel is not a good choice!! Not only is there no real kitchen, no stove or pans, but also it really has to be restored... paint is coming off the wall, the seating area in the hall is instable and I'm not gonna start with the bathroom and shower.. first i thought at least my room was fine, but...

stayed just one night, arriving at 2pm staying in room 11 on the first floor. Receptionist was friendly and welcoming. Room was very clean, bright and airy. bathroom was also very clean although toilet stall was very cramped. Shower was hot and had excellent pressure. Didn't stay for breakfast. Wi Fi on ground floor worked well. Had no issues with...

I don't recommend this at all. I have checked out 2 days earlier because I couldn't bear this place. I've had received a good reception from the start to the end, but, I could not feel safe at the place, during my stay and a lot of reasons to not come back. It seems that anyone can get inside and...

I was super anxious about staying here after reading some reviews...I bought repellent just in case of bed bugs....but to my relief it was mostly okay. I had no problem with bed bugs, the free breakfast was simple but fine in my opinion, and actually I found it to be pretty clean. The building itself is just dingy because it's...

The location is great (between République and Oberkampf, one of the best cultural and nightlife spots in Paris) but the rest is far from acceptable. The building is extremely old and needs renovation. The floor creaks as you pass and the paint is peeling off the walls. The rooms were okay but the toilets and showers hadn't been cleaned in several...

This place has had some pretty bad reviews so we were pretty apprehensive when our friend said he'd booked it for us. Given the relatively low prices however we didn't find it too bad. It was a bed for the night and that's all we needed, so if you're on a budget and only staying in the city for a...

This hostel saved us as our previous hostel cancelled our reservation 48hrs before our arrival. Jules Ferry is close to the Rebulique metro line, which links in well with other lines making it easy for us to get around. I travelled with my brother and we both ended up in 6 bed same sex dorm rooms. The rooms are pretty...

The hostel is in a good location - close to the metro stop République. The hostel itself wasn't very pleasing to the eye, but it did the job. We had no problems whilst we stayed there. The breakfast isn't very good here and the bread was stale, but the staff were friendly enough. One piece of advice i'd give is...

This was hands down the worst hostel I've stayed in. I did not feel safe here at all, and the other women sharing my room felt the same. There is only one key per room which is rather annoying. One night we had a middle-aged man knocking on our door persistently, and the next night he barged in... keep the...

“Street-facing rooms have a lot of traffic noise because the windows aren't soundproof. Bring earplugs and you'll be fine. Also, if you're female make sure your dorm is all-female (not sure if there are co-ed dorms here but if there are, I wouldn't stay in one.)”
