I stayed here for 6 nights and used public transportation (metro and bus) and walked to various attractions everyday. The hotel is quite close to Louvre and Musée d'Orsay. Many interesting cafe and restaurants around the site. The room is clean. Staff are friendly and effective. The area is quite safe. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone who wants...

Stayed 2 nights and couldn't fault anything. Excellent quality & value for a 2 star hotel. It was in a central location within walking distance to the Opera Garnier, la Fayette & slightly further afield, Montmartre.

Hotel Vivienne gave me a long list of reasons to stay here. Reasonable price. Great location in the 2nd; close to the Opera, the Bourse, the Palais Royale, the best of the galleries, multiple interesting restaurants and brasserie. There's a resident cat named Romeo. Most of the staff when I was there spoke English well enough to deal with our needs....

Good location in relation to nightlife and availability of food and drinks. Staff don't understand much english but we get there in the end. Sometimes maybe best to use google translate. Room had a shower and basin. Toilet is outside the room. When you leave the hotel you're required to leave your key.

An excellent find with a distinctive French feel compared to the usual "international" chains. Breakfast was good and as you would expect the coffee was excellent and generally a very pleasant place to stay close to my business meetings. There are also plenty of places nearby to eat in the evening.

This is a serviceable hotel. It's decor in the public areas leaves a lot to be desired but the guest room I had was fine. The staff are pleasant people who want to b helpful. I would certainly use it again.

My room was not as nice as the pictures shown on the website. Was given a room in the attic on the 7th floor which was reasonably comfortable but low ceilings and glad I was not sharing with anyone else as it would have then felt small and restrictive.

Location of the hotel is perfect. We took the Roissy bus from CDG airport, the bus stop at the Opera is a walkable distance to the hotel. Hotel is also situated in a great spot for taking the Metro, very close to Richlieu-Drouot, Bourse, and Grands Boulevard. Tourist destinations, it is a walkable distance to Galeries Lafayette, Palais Garnier, La...

Ill start by saying i am indeed a hotel snob and being in the business of hotel hospitality ive stayed and inspected plenty of hotels which help me form my opinion. I booked this room based on price and their reviews. I was pleasantly surprised from the moment i walked in the door. The front desk staff was friendly and...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
