Nice people at the front desk, clean rooms, inexpensive and well located. Have been going there over the years when I am on a tight budget and will keep going back I am sure. Have tried almost every room in the hotel by now and...More
I stayed at the hôtel du cygne when visiting friends in Paris. It is ideally situated - a short walk from the pompidou centre, Les halles and the seine, and in the heart of party central for those in that way inclined. Probably not for...More
I chose this hotel based purely on the location. I wanted somewhere that I could get the RER directly from CDG and directly to Disneyland Paris.
Got off the RER and you're in a massive shopping centre. Go to the top floor and that's how...More
Hotel have great location and there's a lot restaurants and shops around. Our room was really small but that's Paris so I didn't expect anything else. There's no elevator and stairs are pretty steep so if this bothers you then this isn't hotel for you...More
Booked here for 2 nights to see Springsteen at Bercy Arena. Easy to get to from Gard du Nord just a few stops on the Metro, and the hotel is a very short walk from the nearest Metro stop.
Despite its location, the streets were...More

Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and
just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.

Dean. I have been to this hotel for several vacations with my last visit this past May. If you are on the RER and arrive at Gare du Nord you can easily continue on several different subway routes. Either continue on the RER B or D to the Chatelet station. From there you need to exit the station toward Rue Rambuteau. It's a couple blocks walk from this station. Head North on Rue Pierre Lescot for 2 blocks. Take a right onto Rue du Cygne. The hotel will be on the right. I suggest looking at Google Maps. Focus on the Chatelet Station. Rue du Cygne is 2 blocks North of Rue Rambuteau and 1 block South of Rue Etienne Marcel. If you are on the Metro and NOT the RER you would take the #4 train (Metro) from Gare du Nord going South toward Mairie du Montrouge (Not Porte du Clignoncourt which is the opposite direction). You should exit at the Etienne Marcel station and head down Rue Pierre Lescot one block and turn Left onto Rue du Cygne. The hotel will be on the right. Hope this helps and enjoy! Note that this hotel does NOT have an elevator and the steps are steep and narrow so be mindful if your travel with lots of bags. I love it for it's old charm.
