This is the 5th time I have stayed at Le Senat and it never disappoints. It' s in a fantastic location served by a number of bus routes to main attractions - much better for sight-seeing than the Metro. You are spoilt for choice with a range of local eateries and Au Petit Suisse next door is great for a...

Lovely little hotel. Rooms are small ("superior" room I think is actually standard) but comfortable. This hotel is situated on a small side street so traffic noise is possibly less than other hotels I looked at (and walked past when there) which were on big main roads. Jardin de Luxembourg is beautiful and right on the doorstep. Many sights within...

I came here for a 3-day trip with my teenage son. The hotel was chosen with a Eurostar package and was great value. Before arriving, I exchanged emails with the reception to organise a couple of things and they were really helpful. The location is fantastic - close to REF, Metro, Luxembourg Gardens, Pantheon, Latin Quarter, Saint-Germain, and in the...

The view from our balcony was amazing and the room was cozy. Ridiculously comfortable bed, have never experienced that in a hotel. It was in a cool location and easy to re-find every day after being out exploring.

I reserved this hotel using my Delta frequent flyer miles, so I'm unaware of the price per night, and my breakfast was included as well. I stayed for 2 nights. I reserved a small double room, and it was very small for 2 people, but it was quite nice and very clean. I was sightseeing the entire time in Paris...

What a divine little find. I give this hotel and the team a 10/10. The best part...the pillows. The team were nothing short of fantastic. Each with there own individual and unique querky French style. I looked forward each day to coming in from the cold and being warmly welcomed by a different personality. If you are undecided on where...

We stayed at Hotel Senat for three nights in February 2011. The room was small but smartly furnished, with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. The hotel is located on a quiet side street just beside the Luxembourg Garden (5 minutes) and within walking distance of Notre Dame(25 minutes ), Louvre( 45 minutes) ,etc. There is good access to public...

Tucked away on a quietish side street beside the gorgeous Jardins de Luxembourg this is a gem. A superb welcome and great service throughout our stay. Nice bedrooms, if a little small, but lovely clean bathroom and great linen. In a terrific location to explore Paris by foot or Metro, this is a great base for seeing the City and...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
