Day staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was everything we needed especially as it included cereal but it did cost 12 euros each. We booked a larger double room but just as well there was an additional single bed because otherwise there wasn't enough room for two suitcases. The bathroom was tiny but modern and everything in the hotel...

This is a nice hotel. We paid for a larger room and had a nice sized room with nice sized bathroom. It was room 10. However, it is on the street side so it was noisy. Also the matress was BAD!!! the springs left it a few years back. Everything was very clean and the staff was nice and helpful....

My husband and I absoultely loved this hotel. The location is great!!! From our room #8, you had a small balcony with a table and chairs (which the second floor is the only one that offers this). You look down one side and have views of the Pantheon and down the other you have views of Notre Dame. The decore...

We loved Hotel St Jacques, everything was as it seemed on the website, it was a comfortable, inviting, homey place that is located in the wonderful Latin Quarter. We loved that we were so close to everything, we even walked back from the Louvre one evening, finding great cafes along the way. I would highly recommend this hotel for your...

This the second time we've stayed in this charming hotel (the location for the Audrey Hepburn / Cary Grant movie 'Charade') and as before we had a very good experience. The belle epoque features are lovely and the location is perfect. The rooms seemed to have been updated since our last visit 2 years ago and now boast flat screen...

The Hotel is in a good position in Quartier Latin and from the hotel is possible to go to different tourist attractions by foot. The rooms are nice, breakfast is good. But I would absolutely not suggest a room near the elevator, otherwise you will not sleep.

The hotel is located in a beautiful neighborhood on the left bank (Latin Quarter, 5th arrondisement). It is close to many wonderful sights and areas including The Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens and the charming Mouffetard district with its diverse restaurant scene and food markets.. We were there for 7 nights and never had a problem; the staff was friendly and spoke...

I am always leery of hotel claims when traveling alone, as they rarely post pictures of their single rooms and they are often kind of yuk. NOT SO the Saint Jacques! LOVELY room! Incredibly excellent service--especially from the gifted Brigitte and the wonderful night guy who brought us coffee at 6 am the day of our departure. I would SO...

I took my fiance to Paris in May this year for a last surprise trip before we get married in Thailand next year. We arrived in Paris via the Eurostar and found it very easy to navigate our way to our hotel on the Paris Metro system. On arrival we were met by very polite staff who spoke English even...

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
