When we arrived everything seemed fine. Receptionist was very friendly, room and bathroom was beautifully renovated, breakfast was great. But then in the evening when we came back there was water on the bathroom floor and we hadn't showered. So I looked up and there was water dripping down from the ceiling next to the light. I informed the receptionist...

I stayed there for two nights at the end of july. I found the hotel nice, clean, comfortable. The free wifi, which was one of the reason to choose this hotel, worked really well. The bathroom was very nice. The only small critique i can make is that since outside was quite hot and humid, the room was a bit...

Never again!! Extremely rude 2 ladies as staff. Hotel web site told that hotel has been totally renovated few years ago. Well, shower tap was taped on wall and the worst holes in bathroom walls had been covered with mirrors. Bathroom never dried after showering and the whole room was damp the whole time. Also wallpaper was hanging from the...

I reserved a room in advance and a few days before I was supposed to stay at the hotel I got an email that there was a problem with my card. My card works just fine and I reserved train and airline tickets before and after my planned stay at the hotel. When I called the hotel they said that...

We would probably stay here again when we need to stay in Paris. The room was small , simple and well decorated . Very friendly staff. wifi included. Hotel is just 10 minutes walking from Montpanasse station.

My family and only I stayed one night at Clairefontaine, and it suited our needs perfectly. This is not a fancy hotel, but it is well run, well maintained and in a nice area. I booked 2 rooms through a 3rd party booking site and got a very affordable rate. We were greeted by friendly staff who spoke some English...

When we arrived to the Clairefontaine Hotel, we were nicely received and the staff were amazingly kind, hospitable and friendly. Within walking distance from several metro stations ( lines 4, 6, and13) and from the Montparnasse train and bus station( direct line to the CDG/ Orly Airports), the hotel is conveniently located. It is one of the most comfortable hotels...

The staff were very helpful and most of them could speak a little English which was great. The rooms were average, not very clean as there were hairs still in shower, on the floor and in the drawers from previous guests. The toilet was held up by a concrete block and all the tiles behind it were smashed. There is...

It is not a hotel- more like small apartment rooms. The building is joined to apartment block and it can be noisy in the morning and evening. Anyone, from guests staying in the hotel, can walk up to your window and considering that there is no air conditioning in rooms, I would struggle if we stayed there in the middle...

Just spent two great nights at the Hotel Clairefontaine in Paris. Location is great, 10 minute walk to the Montparnasse station, and 10 minutes walk to another Gare that is a direct shot to the Charles de Gaul airport. The staff were very accommodating, and while the room was small it had everything we needed (except soap!) and was very...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
