I stayed for 2 nights and I stayed in annex. Pros 1. Very clean and neat+Renovation 2. Double lock 3. 'Basilique du Sacre-Coeur' is near to the hostel. You can see if you go 10m away. 4. There are many "BEST tasty" bakeries and around the hostel. I recommend that you go outside to eat breakfast. 5. Price is cheap... More

Spent my last night in Paris here because I knew I wanted to be in Montmartre and Le Village had decent reviews. I really enjoyed my stay here, found it to be clean and thought the staff was helpful. Plus the location is great. I stayed in a four bed dorm and we had a perfect view of Sacre Coeur... More

Decent hostel located in a great location. The check in staff was very courteous and helpful; they also allow free baggage storage before and after checking in or out. Our room had a bunk bed and a single, great for our party. Ensuite bathroom had shower and toilet in decent condition. Rooms were small with no frills. Decent wifi. Rooms... More

My girlfriend lived at the hostel for 2 weeks. At some point all her skin got itchy and swollen. Apparently the room was infected with bed bugs. When we approached the staff we were treated really unfriendly and they acted like it was our mistake. When talking to pharmacists in the are, we were notified, that this is a regular... More

Imagine, you just bought a big bottle of perfume, you liked the first try and want to be done with it so you go for one big one. So you unpack it in your hotel room - put it into the only available shelf where you can put things like that, because otherwise there too little space - but that’s... More

Enthusiastic staff were helpful in trip planning and directions 24/7. Air conditioning available in rooms (ours was twin w/ ensuite). A bit noisy on street side directly above the attached bar until 11 or so at night, but not a problem for us. Other rooms had view of Sacre Couer (5 minute walk). Easy walking distance to 3 different metro... More

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The kitchen has everything we need to prepare a good meal, just need to buy the ingredients. The hostel is situated near the Sacré-Coeur Basilica and the Moulin Rouge and it is easy to find, since we take aproximately 3 minutes from the metro station Anvers.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
