This hotel is in a great location - just a five minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and from a metro stop. It is located on Rue Cler, which is filled with many shops and restaurants. We ate there for dinner almost every night of our stay.
Breakfast at this hotel was very good and the breakfast staff worked very hard to make sure it was enjoyable for us. In addition, both Elsa and Basith from the front desk were extremely helpful and courteous.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Paris!

From the time I booked online until I checked out the staff at the Cler Hotel was amazing. My Husband and I took our senior citizens parents on a surprise trip to Paris after London Jan 1-4th we arrived via Eurostar and when I pulled up to the hotel I was scared and then when I seen the small elevator I was really scared. Traveling with senior citizens and walking up the stairs don’t mix. Walking up to the reception area was a no go and we had 8 total of luggage so we had to put one person in the elevator with one luggage at a time (the elevator is tiny) even the front desk gentleman came to help carry luggage up the stairs to speed up the process.

However, our rooms were not ready as we arrived fairly early but the hotel had a big enough room for us to store our luggage as we waited for the rooms which I requested an early check in and they made it happen before 3.

The rooms are small but just enough space. I think it’s a European thing but for my Americans there are no wash cloths so remember to bring your own. The hotel room was clean (I’m OCD), each day the housekeeping would come clean and were so nice spoke little English but very nice.

The only hiccup during our stay is when the elevator broke down and my 66 year old mother and 70 + year old father in law had to walk down the stairs from the 5th and 3rd floor. When we returned it still wasn’t working. We walked to get some lunch and Luckily just minutes as we returned the elevator was working again.

The block of the hotel was the best. If I lived in Paris I would want to live on this block. I was a little disappointed that my street view room didn’t look at the Eiffel Tower (which I thought it did when I booked not the hotels fault mines) however the location is the best with the local stores fresh markets, post office, grocery stores, wine shops, and restaurant we couldn’t ask for a better hotel.

I would definitely recommend you are still near but away from all the attractions 10-14 walk to the Eiffel. We did go during the strikes so we took Ubers everywhere oh which will drop off at the corner of the hotel by the way.

My daughter & I recently stayed here for 3 nights in March 2020. We were absolutely satisfied with this hotel! First of all, this is a great location if this is the area you want to be in (near the Eiffel Tower). It is a lovely Boutique Hotel with the small elevator & winding steps up to the Reception area. We had a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower which was amazing! I could lay in bed and watch the Eiffel tower sparkle at night! Sure the room is not that big but those who complain must not travel in Europe often because rooms are not that big. The shower was simply wonderful because of the overhead rain showerhead. Plus we even had a view of the Eiffel Tower from our bathroom! So we loved our room on the 6th floor.
Secondly, the service at the front desk was fabulous, especially Idir & Florentin! They were very friendly, & helpful. They answered many questions that we asked, made recommendations & arranged a taxi for us to Versailles. Lastly, the hotel is on Rue Cler which is a great street with restaurants, grocery stores, a pastry shop, a souvenir shop and our favorite, Gelato Al Naturale, which we visited almost every night! We would recommend this hotel!

My wife and I had a marvelous stay at the Cler Hotel. All of the staff we interacted with during our stay were helpful, friendly and professional. In particular Idir went above and beyond in helping us.

The location is ideally situated on the famed Rue Cler, near the Ecole Militaire metro station, an easy walk to the Champ de Mars, etc. Needless to say, there are many fine eateries nearby.

The rooms are small but comfortable. The rooms with a view of the Eiffel Tower are well worth the extra cost. Breakfast is optional but is worth it if you wish to start the day with a nice breakfast buffet before heading out for the day’s activities.

All in all, we may stay at the Cler Hotel for our next visit to Paris. After all, a great hotel in a superb location with wonderful staff at a reasonable price for the 7th arrondissement is hard to find

We decided to try this area of Paris for this trip after having listened to Rickey Steves mention the Cler area and decided to stay in the Cler Hotel. The location is excellent with numerous restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast at the hotel was quite good and the rooms very clean
The staff was very helpful throughout our stay from check in to departure and provided numerous suggestions for things to do in the area. The Eiffel Tower, Museum d' Orsay and Pullman Hotel (where we met our Palace of Versailles tour) all were in walking distance.
The sixth floor has one or two rooms with views of the Eiffel Tower. Although our room cost a bit more it was well worth it to watch the light display at the Eiffel Tower at night from our room. A delightful stay.

The Cler Hotel was located on a popular street (Rue Cler) with many restaurants and shops. The location is great, just a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower. We stayed in room 605, and we could see the Eiffel Tower from our bed and bathroom! So cool! The room was clean and the bathroom had a rain shower! The staff were all very friendly and helpful with answering any questions we had during our stay. There is an option to pay for breakfast, but we didn't because there are many cute restaurants on the street that serve breakfast! Would highly recommend this hotel! Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms!

We had a non-refundable stay scheduled in mid-May at the tail end of a 2 week trip. I contacted the hotel to request the amount paid be applied as a credit when we reschedule the trip. The hotel went a step further and refunded the amount for our stay. This trip will be rescheduled and Cler Hotel will definitely be included.

I visited with my 12 year old daughter for a 2 night stay. We chose the Hotel Cler because of great reviews on here and also because the location is brilliant. It’s very close to École Militaire Metro (literally a couple of minutes walk away) and all the sights are easily accessible by metro. The Eiffel Tour is 10 mins away on foot. The street the hotel is on (Rue Cler) is nice with independent shops and restaurants on it. We ate on Rue Cler both nights for convenience as it felt very safe walking on the street at night (cafe du Marche and Little Davoli which were both great for a simple dinner) and we also grabbed a couple of croissants each day from the boulangerie across the road to eat on the way to sightseeing.

The hotel is exactly as it looks in all the pictures which is always a very good sign as so many hotel pics are deceiving. The rooms are small (probably about 14m sq) and are perfectly formed if you just want somewhere to crash after being out and about all day - I’d say the rooms are quite basic but are nice and modern and spotlessly clean. We had room 402, a double with street view and the double glazing meant we had no noise from outside at all. The bed was very comfortable and the curtains are proper blackout ones so we slept very well. The bathroom is small with a very good rain shower. There is shampoo and shower gel provided so don’t forget conditioner if you need it. There is also a hairdryer but it’s one of those in the bathroom that you have to hold to operate and it overheats quickly and is not very good for long hair. There are tea and coffee making facilities and also some storage and a safe. Everything we needed for sure. The hotel also do a breakfast for 16Euro which sounded good but we just ate on the run to make the most of the short time we had here.

If I was being really picky the only little things I’d pick up on about the room was that the shower leaked all over the floor and the sliding bathroom door was very difficult to open and close which became a bit annoying. The soundproofing from other rooms wasn’t great at times (we could hear people dragging furniture around and talking loudly but I suspect this level of noise is unusual) but it didn’t inconvenience us too much as we were awake reading.

Also worth mentioning the staff on reception who are so friendly and helpful. They really made us feel welcome and were on hand to help if we needed it. Mustafa was working both night we were there and was great. I’d also contacted the hotel prior to arriving with a couple of questions and they were answered quickly.

If you are looking for a hotel that is simple, suoer clean and in a great location then I’d highly recommend booking Hotel Cler. It really is exactly how it looks on the website. I’d also be keen to try their sister properly Hotel Canopée which looks great too and is near the Champs Elysees.

A bientot Hotel Cler. It’s been a pleasure.

The location is absolutely superb, near to the Museum we wanted to visit and on a pedestrianized street made it even better! The service at the hotel was first rate, staff friendly, accommodating and very helpful. The room was very well appointed, with excellent facilities, clean, modern, light and with views across the roof tops to the top of the Eiffel Tower. The breakfast was excellent and good value for money. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, I only wish we could have stayed more than one night, I would definitely want to stay here again when visiting Paris.

We could not have been more pleased with our stay at Cler Hotel! We were concerned about our luggage prior to being able to get into our new room but Staff quickly stored the luggage in a secure room awaiting our return later in the day. Can't say enough about the friendliness and helpfulness shown by staff. They even installed Citymapper on my phone to help with getting around Paris and directed us to a convenient bus stop. The hotel is located on quiet, pedestrian only Rue Cler close to the metro and several bus stops. The 69 bus, which we used extensively, could be picked up just around the corner for access to numerous sites. And there are any number of great restaurants within an easy walk or short bus /metro ride. Special thanks to Mohammed for arranging our 5 a.m. taxi to CDG prior to departure. He even made my wife and I an espresso and cappuccino at 4:45 a.m. and assisted with luggage. Breakfasts were adequate with a bit of everything available. The rooms are small but did not feel cramped and the bathroom featured a nice sized shower. Very clean, working A/C, and a large window for ventilation. Also appreciated the number of outlets in the room and the mini-fridge. The hotel has clearly invested in some modern renovations giving the property a clean, functional look. The mini elevator will fit 2 with a bit of luggage and made our 4th floor location easy. We will look forward to staying at Cler Hotel on our next visit to Paris! Thanks so much to all of the amazing staff!
