A wonderful experience to spent some days in Paris. We only can recommend that hotel where we missed nothing but got so much. We will return there in a while. Someone had choosen the best design you can have in the rooms and outside. On some places of the hotel, they have guarded the old ancient walls - was looking...

Dear guest, Thank you very much for your very nice review. We are glad you could have made the most of your stay in Paris - and actually a bit thanks to us. As you underline it, Eugène was built following the idea of keeping what could have been there before - former walls, rooms, stairways from the XIXth century,...

Great location near metro and bus routes. 15 minutes walk from Eurostar station. Friendly staff. Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Didn't eat there but restaurant seemed busy. Would of liked breakfast included but many cafes around the area for breakfast, dinner and beers. Walking distance to the fancy shops then onto the river and other attractions of Paris.

Positive points : The bedroom was nice. Comfortable bed. The hotel was quiet and in a quiet street but perfectly located for the metro and visiting Paris. Great area of Paris near the Grands Boulevards, Montmartre etc. Negative points : A rude receptionist on our last day who called me at 12:05 to tell me to vacate the room. I...

Since I travel to Paris at least 6 times a year for work I booked as a single traveller a double room, since I have terror of Paris Hotel single rooms. The room I was given was tiny and not more than 11 square meter. In their booking page they claim a room size of 16 square meter. When I...

The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from Gare de Nord. We got a cab to the hotel which only cost €7 but walked back on the advice of the hotel receptionist. The walk was easy and pleasant and saved us some euros so pleased that it was suggested. The hotel itself may not be to everyone's taste to be...

The hotel was very well located (next to La Faillette and not fare away from Le Marais). The room was small but very clean and cosy. We came to this hotel because we had a discount and we have been very satisfied.

We've just returned from a 2 nights break in Paris that I booked as a surprise for my boyfriend's 30th birthday. After arriving at the hotel which looked pleasant enough from the outside and reception area, we went to freshen up in our room. I use the term room loosely as it was basically a glorified cleaning cupboard. I immediately...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
An impromptu pied a terre or a Parisian holiday address for an extended stay, Hotel Eugene en Ville offers guests superior hospitality with spirited service. The emphasis is on creating a mixed palette of styles. The raw-finished walls and industrial furniture poke fun at more traditional features and appointments. Dark Victorian patinas, ornate mirrors and candelabras, soft, cosy armchairs and curios – all handpicked from antique shops and markets – create a style that is at once refined and iconoclastic. The chemistry is simply compelling. On the same eccentric register, a giant screen shows snippets of life inside a luxury hotel: an unconventional film that takes a witty look at an establishment that is well and truly frequented in every sense of the word. The hotel has inherited the sort of elegance that never seeks to look overly sophisticated. It possesses the kind of charm that always feels spontaneous: that truly Parisian effortless chic that Eugene holds the secret to. ... more   less
