We stayed in le Récamier for a weekend. The hotel is situated in a nice part of the sixth arr. The St Sulpice church is wonderful and you can walk/bike/métro your way around. The room was a small, bit comfortable. A bit annoying that - on the sixth floor - the elevator was broken the whole weekend. All considered, a... More

This hotel is quietly and safely situated off of the St Surplice courtyard which makes it perfect for sightseeing, shopping, or strolling. The staff is just as nice and helpful and the reviews commented. They take good care of you as a guest. We loved our quiet room that was street facing (but quiet with a church just outside).

Everything perfect : place, people, decoration, room, atmosphere Hotel located in the best area of Paris : close from Luxembourg and Saint Germain des Près, near Saint Sulpice and lots of beautiful places, buildings and shops (especially Pierre Hermé - best pâtissier of the world !). The hotel is beautifully decorated, rooms are wonderful and comfortable (despite small) and service... More

Fantastic hotel in great location with a wonderful staff. The room was very clean and the bathroom had a huge tub that my daughter wanted to take home. The bed was very comfortable and the wifi worked very well. We cannot wait to return.

We were very happy with our choice of this hotel. The location was perfect, walking distance to many of our favorite places, such as Luxembourg Gardens and the Pantheon. The plaza in front of St Sulpice was a wonderful spot to sit and people watch, and dog watch too as it seems that every evening the pooches arrived for their... More

Thank you to all the staff at Hotel Récamier for making our stay so enjoyable, in particular Paulo and Cecile for the champagne and great advice. We booked through Mr & Mrs Smith and could not be happier with our choice. This hotel is situated next to Eglise Saint Sulpice which is a beautiful location, between Jardin du Luxembourg and... For me, summertime is always the occasion to explore new destinations, but also get to enjoy my own city: Paris. As the masses escape the city in search for seaside fun (which I'd rather do in exotic destinations during winter), Paris is emptied from its usual crowds, offering all of its beauty in the sunshine. I took the experience a... More

Not recommandable at all and really poor value for money.. only location is recommandable . The lift was broken during the whole stay (2 nights) and my mom who had a knee problem had to use the satirs for the whole stay,,,and there was no compensation for it. The bathtub drain was not cleaned properly causing inconvenience..

Having to spend a night in the Quartier Latin, I was not disappointed by my choice. Friendly staff comforted me in my check in, while I discovered the details of an impeccable and smart decoration. Finally both night and breakfast were very pleasant at a rather reasonable price for what is a small luxury bobo hotel extremely well located.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Discreetly nestled behind the trees on Place Saint Sulpice in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés area, Hotel Récamier is about to become a new exclusive address in Paris. The hotel should meet the expectations of travellers in search of confidential addresses such as those exchanged between well travelled and demanding friends.Half of the 24 rooms have a direct view on the place. The rooms have been superbly revamped by the renowned interior designer Jean Louis Deniot who was inspired to create 24 entirely different rooms with one theme per floor. On a classical basis he has added some eclecticism inspired by the various 20th century decorative styles.
