The Recamier Hotel is simply gorgeous. The decor is one of the best ones I've seen in Parisian boutique hotels. Location is perfect, right in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Pres. My room was so beautiful and cozy, I did not even want to go out to eat -and that's a lot to say, when in Paris. The only drawback is that...

The Recamier Hotel is a very nice small hotel in the heart of the Saint Germain next to Saint Sulpice church and plaza. Rooms are very well decorated, the staff is most helpful. Complementary Five o'clock tea is wonderful, bathroom was well arranged and feels very nice. And of course - location location location! The only drawback was the room...

So great little hotel with a serious noise problem. We were woken up every morning by noisy staff and guests. The doors offer no noise reduction at all. We had to wear our headphones every night to cut out noise from above us (stomping and dropping of luggage & kids). Noise every morning from elevator/hallway. This after I requested a...

As I am always saying, staff are always the essential ingredient to a great experience. The front of house staff here are excellent, knowledgable, helpful and friendly. The hotels location, tucked into a corner of Saint Sulplice is perfect and the decor is lovely. Yes, the rooms are snug and the lighting poor but the ambiance of the place more...

This hotel never disappoints. We stayed here again in July and found everything to be as good as all our previous visits. The location is great for us, we love exploring Paris by foot and so many areas are easily reached from Hotel Recamier. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. Our rooms were lovely and it is so quiet...

Hotel Recamier is tucked into a little corner of Paris's St Sulpice Square/Plaza, in the St Germaine area. The ancient and infamous St Sulpice Church stands in front of the hotel. Supposedly the church was featured in The Da Vinci Code. The Recamier is a small (approx 24 rooms) boutique hotel. The decor is very tasteful; modern, eclectic and warm....

This is an elegant small hotel virtually adjacent to St. Surplice on the Left Bank. The rooms are quite large by Paris standards and the adjoining garden is a lovely place to enjoy complementary afternoon tea. Breakfasts are not worth the 20 Euro price tag.

We have travelled to Paris many times and have been trying to find a small, comfortable hotel in a great location with friendly staff and good value for money. With Hotel Recamier we were delighted to find what we were looking for. The rooms and bathrooms were small but beautifully appointed, the location was superb - close to the shops,...

We arrived in Paris in early June and found this wonderful little place on the left bank of the Seine. My wife had just been robbed on the train from the airport so our start was less than auspicious. The staff were very sympathetic and helpful. Our top floor (6th) room overlooked the nearby roof tops from our own private...

It is our pleasure to read that you had such an enjoyable stay at the Hotel Recamier. Room 64 with the terrace and view across the rooftops is one of our favorite rooms. We hope to see you in a heartbeat !

Overlooking the St Sulpice church, square and fountain this is the ideal small hotel base from which to explore St Germain. Rooms are typically small, cosy but very well appointed and furnished. Bathrooms also very small but that's just how it is in many hotels in ild buildings in Europe. Lots of shopping and restaurants on your doorstep.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Discreetly nestled behind the trees on Place Saint Sulpice in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés area, Hotel Récamier is about to become a new exclusive address in Paris. The hotel should meet the expectations of travellers in search of confidential addresses such as those exchanged between well travelled and demanding friends.Half of the 24 rooms have a direct view on the place. The rooms have been superbly revamped by the renowned interior designer Jean Louis Deniot who was inspired to create 24 entirely different rooms with one theme per floor. On a classical basis he has added some eclecticism inspired by the various 20th century decorative styles. You will find neither hyper exuberance nor minimalism: here we are talking real Parisian elegance. ... more   less
