Not recommandable at all and really poor value for money.. only location is recommandable . The lift was broken during the whole stay (2 nights) and my mom who had a knee problem had to use the satirs for the whole stay,,,and there was no compensation for it. The bathtub drain was not cleaned properly causing inconvenience..

Having to spend a night in the Quartier Latin, I was not disappointed by my choice. Friendly staff comforted me in my check in, while I discovered the details of an impeccable and smart decoration. Finally both night and breakfast were very pleasant at a rather reasonable price for what is a small luxury bobo hotel extremely well located.

A gem! When we arrived we were greeted by name by the staff. We were able to get into the room early after a long flight. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location is great. The staff was extremely helpful. Hopefully, we will be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return someday. The staff was very helpful with recommendations and reservations at local restraunts. The hotel is near many shops and restraunts as well as Jardin Luxembourg.

I thought long and hard about whether to review this hotel. It's not in my interest to share the secret about such a perfectly-located, well-appointed boutique hotel, especially when I will want to return there. Yet not reviewing it would be unfair to the hotel's kind staff and owners. My room was small, though lovely and quite comfortable. The square...

A real gem of a boutique hotel on the left bank. Close to shopping and great restaurants. The offer a high tea upon arrival in the afternoon. They also do breakfast in the morning if you request it. A very high end experience without spending a fortune. The staff was absolutely lovely and helpful.

Spent 2 nights, 3 days at Hotel Recamier. Hotels location is perfect. on a quiet square, but within easy walking distance of all major sights. The hotel itself is lovely and rooms of a resonable size for Paris. The staff are also extremely helpful and friendly. All in all, would highly recommend.

I work at a U.S. travel magazine and have stayed at numerous boutique hotels. Hotel Recamier is a prime example of how the high-end boutique hotel experience should be. The men at the front desk were helpful and had wonderful personalities. We loved hanging out for breakfast or the complementary tea in the cute common area. The room was cozy—don't...

The hotel has a great location just minutes away from Saint Germain boulevard, Cafe de Flore, best shops, Le Bon Marche etc. The rooms are small but very cosy. Nicely decorated and functional. The bathroom is neat. Liked very much the breakfast area. It is cozy and makes daily newspapers available to guests.

I love these small, intimate hotels. They are the best! Service is just so good here! The location is great - 6th arrondissement right next door to the Luxembourg Gardens, The Sorbonne, and Boulevard Saint-Michel, Montparnasse, etc. I was staying at another hotel and needed help getting my bags to the Recamier - the concierge actually went with me a...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Discreetly nestled behind the trees on Place Saint Sulpice in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés area, Hotel Récamier is about to become a new exclusive address in Paris. The hotel should meet the expectations of travellers in search of confidential addresses such as those exchanged between well travelled and demanding friends.Half of the 24 rooms have a direct view on the place. The rooms have been superbly revamped by the renowned interior designer Jean Louis Deniot who was inspired to create 24 entirely different rooms with one theme per floor. On a classical basis he has added some eclecticism inspired by the various 20th century decorative styles. You will find neither hyper exuberance nor minimalism: here we are talking real Parisian elegance. ... more   less
