I could't lock the door to the shared shower since there was no key. I asked the staff if I could use another shower since I didn't want to take a shower with an unlocked door, but he did not understand my situation at all leaving me with no choice but to take a shower with an unlocked door or...

We spent 6 days/nights in Paris last month. Chose Le Petit Trianon for it's central location- quick walk to the river, Luxembourg Gardens, St Michel area, Notre Dame, Sainte-Chapelle etc..... Odeon Metro is a few minutes walk and it's fast taxi ride from Gare du Nord. The area is packed with restaurants and cafes serving excellent food and great coffee....

My wife and I stayed at Le Petit Trianon on the recommendation of a friend who travels to Paris frequently. The rooms are comfortable and clean but the best thing about this hotel is its location just off the Boulevard St. Michel in the 6th arrondisement one block from the 5th and the Sorbonne. We had the 2nd floor room...

Before booking my stays I have read reviews and my expectation was level set:). I expected bed with bathroom where my 10 and 5 years can have good night sleep. We enjoyed location the most it is 5-6 minutes to Odeon metro. We came on Eurostar at Gar du Nord and that was a big plus. Norte Dame is about...

Good location, and just a short walk to shopping, restaurants, Notre Dame, Louvre mm. Some noice from the street and the nearby restaurants. No elevator, but good exercise up the stairs to the 4th floor. Friendly staff who fixed the broken shower, ordered taxi and was very helpful. Small rooms and small bathroom. Good value for the money. We stayed...

We were bumped from the hotel we booked and they set us up in this dump. We arrived late in the evening so we had no choice. The stairs on the way in are about to collapse. The shower did not work and the manager couldn't care less. It is dirty and the street noise is loud. You have been...

I'd rate it fair versus poor, but that wasn't available. Large room, with a juliet balcony, and a nice view of the cafes below, but the grossest bathroom I have ever seen. The toilet seat moved while you sat on it. The shower sprayed all over the bathroom and therefore the floor, and all of it was very moldy, and...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
