Great hotel in superb location. Multilingual reception and very friendly. Rooms are well decorated and typical Paris size which is on the small side. Very close to the river and bang in centre of the Latin quarter. The only negative was the waterfall shower was faulty and the water came through the ceiling around it. We reported it but the...

The hotel is well located in the comfortable Saint Germaine-des-Pres area of Paris. The beautiful decor of the public areas creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our room was very quiet and well equipped. However, the one element of the hotel which makes us want to return so often is the wonderful hotel staff, particularly the kind and most helpful...

The hotel is conveniently located near the Louvre and the Seine and the St Germaine shopping district and some wonderful restaurants and cafes. The hotel is quaint and smalll...and the classic rooms well appointed and very small. We had breakfast one morning; a good selection. Note that breakfast is not included in the room fee. We had a room on...

I had done my homework and friends recommended their hotels, however upon much research I chose this hotel. I chose it for the neighborhood, the renovation, the bathrooms, and reviews. I must say I wasn't disappointed. Right next door is a wonderful bakery. There are wonderful restaurants right in the neighborhood, as we were always late in coming back and...

The hotel is a short walk from the Seine, Notre Dame, Musee d'Orsay and Louvre. It is just as the photos show - nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast was available and there are many little cafes in the area to eat out if preferred. All the staff were friendly and always eager to help, especially on the reception area. Patricia...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
