My husband and I recently stayed with Hotel Academie and we had such a wonderful time there! The experience started prior to our arrival with a number of requests and questions that we had and Irene and Patricia were simply OUTSTANDING with their help and responsiveness! Then, upon meeting the two ... they were simply wonderful to deal with! Thank... More

We just stayed at at this hotel for 7 days and just loved it. A hotel's location is our first consideration when choosing a hotel and this location can't be beat with lots of restaurants, metro, Muse d'Orsay & Louvre museums and shopping just a short walk. The hotel was recently beautifully remodeled. We had a mini-suite which was very... More

Beautiful, cozy, elegant, impeccably clean, recently renovated and in the perfect location only a block and a half away from the Métro Saint Germain des Près. My husband and I spent six incredible days here the week of August 22, 2016. Patricia, Adriana, Silvia and cannot remember the name of the gentleman on the night shift but I believe is... More

The staff were exceptionally friendly, spoke English fluently and went out of their way to help with any request. The location was ideal, close to the metro and within the heart of the trendy Saint Germain area.

My wife and I were here for seven nights in early September 2016. We were familiar with the neighborhood but was the first time at this hotel. A good value for our money. Room 403 was not the smallest nor the largest. Apparently newly and nicely redecorated. Good bed. Good a/c (a bit of a heat wave that week). Two... More

From the moment we checked in, the staff made us feel very comfortable. They answered all our questions and helped with directions. We enjoyed our week a great deal. The location is ideal if you are wanting to visit the museums, as many are within walking distance. The metro station is only a few blocks away for those days we... More

Hotel is in a good location but on a one way system if you are driving in. parking available for €28 per night literally across the road but pre book with the hotel as they have allocated spaces. It is a short walk to the river and over the bridge takes you straight to the louvre, 8 mins. The walk... More

Stayed for three nights in the hotel. The location is great, just off of Boulevard St Germaine and one block from St Germain des pres metro station. However, it's easy to walk most places as you are so central. The hotel itself has recently been renovated. The staff were very friendly on check in - option to pay in advance... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
