In the heart of Le Marais, old building itself is a sight, affordable and good breakfast. No elevator though, and I was not sure in which building I will stay, but all three are a minute away from each other so no problem there.

My sis and I stayed here for four nights during summer. We arrived in the morning, left our luggage in the locker room and came back at 3pm to check in. We were given a three-bed room, sharing with a Korean traveller. The room was clean, so was the shower. Toilet was just at the end of the hallway. Breakfast...

I stayed at the MIJE Fauconnier for more than 10 nights. Everything is ok except the breakfast service. The lady is the most rude stuff I have met in my two months Europe trip, and ruins all the good points of this hostel. Her English accent is not so easy to understand, that's ok, but she is ALWAYS irritable and impatient...

A fantastic place in the city center of Paris. The rooms suited exactly our needs, a bed and a shower. The place is clean and the service is very friendly and helpful. A lot of value for little money and I will definitely return for my next city trip.

No wifi in rooms, small beds, the lobby was very uncomfortable, breakfast was bad, showers were dirty. The price was very low but the quality of the hostel reflected this. There is no where for you to rest comfortably and have wifi.

Very good location, nice neighborhood, small but charming. The staff was super helpful and rooms were very nice. We didnt stay for lunch or breakfast but they seemed to be very nice. If i go back i would chose it again for sure.

Very good location. Nice breakfast. Near St. Paul metro station and shops. Very easy to go in and out during the day and night. Very clean. I did the booking online with limited French and found M. Carvalho, in particular, to be very helpful. St. Paul Metro station is on the Number 1 line- links to the Ryanair bus stop...

Very cheap for such a central place in Paris (around 10 min from Notre Dame, 5 min from the metro station with line 1). A very beautiful and old building. Not so noisy for a young hostel. Don't hesitate to book !

Preety tiny hostel in center of Paris. Not pricy for this location. Good for students, single people who prefer to spend the time outside andcome back only for fall a sleep. One minus - few flats with high steps without elevator

I’ve stayed at two of the MIJE locations in the Marais and consider myself quite lucky when I can score a place there. I think this is just about the best place to stay in Paris. These may be old convent buildings that were liberated in the Revolution so are quite funky - although the rooms are nicely fixed up...

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
