My wife and I stayed here for two nights for a weekend in Paris and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were on the third floor so the stairs were a bit of a pain after spending the whole day walking around Paris but the room was immaculate and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The free WiFi was a bonus...

I had stayed in this hotel last week with a friend. We stayed in the ground floor, room no.6 which is exactly opposite reception. The room was clean with all the basic amenities. The reception staff for the day and night was very helpful. Walking distance from Rex, bonne nouvele metro station. Its close to an Indian Pakistan restaurant as...

We spend there three days last week, two ideas I'd like to highlight: -The rooms are clean and cosy, pretty small, is true, but ours was fine for two people. I think that the price, for this room (breakfast included), in a good location (close to downtown and with many places to eat and hang out), is very reasonable. -The...

Small and simple but intimate and friendly family run hotel with Rue Montorgueil just around the corner and therefore walking distance to most of central Paris. Very helpful and friendly staff, which among other things serves a fully satisfying breakfast. Possibly a little troublesome that the smallest rooms do not have toilets, but this is acceptable for a short stay...

Stayed here Friday & Saturday nights. Great value for location in heart of Paris. Metro line 8 a block away and it's a great line to get you around town and into the Marais. Only complaint is the listing mentioned daily breakfast, however, it is not complimentary.

Great location. Easy walk into the centre of Paris and near the metro. Hard to find with no sign outside (maybe down for building works) and in a quiet small street (which is good). Modern foyer/reception/breakfast room downstairs with a small winding staircase to the rooms upstairs. Room small but functional, appeared to be recently renovated with quirky lighting in...

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights as I was attending a gig at Bataclan and just wanted something central for exploring but quite cheap and that's exactly what I got and a bit more. I got a pretty good deal - 178 euro for 2 nights based on 2 people sharing though my friend cancelled on me last...

We have visited Paris and stayed at the Sainte Marie In November, and can't fault the hotel. The room we were given was on the first floor and was small but was airy and clean. Breakfast was available in the morning for 5 euros per person. No lift and stairway is small. A mughlai Pakistani/Indian restaurant was just down the...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighbourhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighbourhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theatres, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
