Very easy to access all the sights and airports from this hotel as the metro station (Denfert-Rochereau) is very near by (train service is very frequent!). It is easily accessible from CGD airport using the RER B and from Orly using the Orlybus. Also easy...More
The main selling point of Hotel du Lion would be it's location. It is situated directly opposite the Denfert-Rochereau Metro station, which is a straight shot on the RER (A) line from CDG, or Gare du Nord - the Eurostar terminus in Paris. This proximity...More
It was very nice and clean hotel. Very close to the metro and the rer station (we even took the rer from the airport wich was comfortable and not too complicated). The hotel is on one of the big streets so there are a lot...More

We stayed in the hotel quite a lot of times in the last couple of years and we always were happy. The rooms are really small but I like the area, the staff is always friendly and the prices are reasonable as well. The parking...More
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small
gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.

Yes, there are a two rooms with an Eiffel Tower view on the top floor. One in the corner and the other on the north-northeast side of the building. Although not a direct view, you can simple look to the left and see the Eiffel tower in the distance. It is actually a very nice view.

Hi, the other two reviewers were right. You first have to climb stairs before getting to the reception. The elevator is facing the reception and I never had problems with it. I was there last year and I will be 61 years now and had no problems with the stairs, but it depends on the physical aptitute of your parents. Shouldn't be such a problem if they are ok. Hope this helps. Room was good for the price and the location very good.
