My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in August on our honeymoon. We showed up at 10am and were immediately warmly welcomed by the female staff member on duty. She was patient with my (admittedly awful) French and allowed us to leave our bags until check-in time. We had similarly great service the entire time we were here...

My wife and I stayed at Hotel du Lion. This was our 12th stay in Paris but the first time at Hotel du Lion. This will not be the last time that we stay at Hotel du Lion in Paris!!! The location of the hotel is perfect - the intrance to the Metro Station is right outside the hotel. The...

Stayed 3 nights in August in a family room, room small, basic but functional and clean. The location is fantastic, in and around the hotel there are a number of lovely bars and restaurants which are catered more for locals rather than tourists. Hotel offers secure parking in an enclosed car park, at a charge of 15.00 euro per day....

The location was perfect, close to the metro and a direct line to Gare du Nord. Nice bars next to the hotel. The room was small for two persons and the bathroom was not so clean. The breakfast was not included and was to expensive for what you got. Only one croissant, cheese in a plastic bag, the juice machine...

The hotel is greatly located next to Denfert Rocherue metro station which is connected to city as well as CDG Airport without any change in train. Also it is on the main road with bus stop just outside of the hotel. However, the staff is really bad and a couple of them behaves as if they are letting the people...

I had to change my reservation, made via the hotel's web site, and the staff was responsive and attentive. That was a good start. The hotel is a stone's throw away from a major Metro stop, which makes sightseeing very convenient, but the area is quieter than some of the more popular neighborhoods. I ended up staying in three different...

My mom and I visited Paris in July 2012. After researching the Arrondissements and reading hotel reviews, we chose Hotel du Lion based on the great value for the dollar and other's reviews. We weren't disappointed. Things we enjoyed the most: - Number One: Hands down, the staff. From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly helpful. We were provided...

We normally stay in apartments when traveling in Europe, unless we are in one place for just a few days. This was the case in July. We arrived in Paris on Bastille Day with five other friends and plans to stay in a hotel for three nights, at which time the group would leave for home and the hub and...

The hotel is in excellent location. Metro and RER line is in front of the door's hotel. There is a supermarket in the opposite corner and a lot of cafés and restaurants in the area. Small but clean room.

I stayed here over night while passing through to an international flight so picked it due to the proximity to the RER station. Yes was a small room, small bed, but perfectly adequate. Was good I get free wifi too. It is a bit further out but the metro line M6 is a great way to see the sights on...

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighbourhood Profile
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the centre of Paris this neighbourhood has something for every hour of the day.
