Yes, the furnishings seem dated but it's pretty fair for the price. Neighborhood is safe with lots of restaurants around. Proximity to Gare de Lyon is a big plus. The lady at the reception in the morning was much nicer than the gentleman at night...More

Bastille and Oberkampf are lively parts of town made for entertainment. During the day rows of unassuming bars welcome customers for a bite or a drink, but it’s at night this area really comes to life. Students and young professionals fill the busy bars around Bastille and Oberkampf. At Place de la Bastille, crowds flock to the Opéra Bastille in the evening and groups wait for coveted tickets during the day. Towards
Republique, skateboarders practice their tricks while others chill out at the square. If you’re looking for late-night revelry, this is your neighbourhood.

We stayed in a double room, but I believe that the hotel has rooms that will sleep three. Whether that is in a double and a single or three single beds, I do not know. The hotel is a simple tourist place but wonderfully located for walking to major sites, and was both clean, reasonably priced, and comfortable. I hope that that helps.
