The hotel is a bit old and worn out, but for what you pay and with the location in consideration, price / quality is good. Also, the reception guy Fabio is great. Really helpful and friendly and speaks its languages. The best!! 💗
The location of the Hotel Picard is pretty decent: across the street from Le Carreau du Temple and within very easy walking distance of many restaurants, four metro lines, several bus routes, the Place de la République, Le Centre Pompidou and the Bataclan – so,...More
Hotel Picard asked for key deposit in cash, but it does not issue receipt, promising that the key is proof of payment! But when I tried to take back the deposit, it denied that the cash deposit existed!
Cheap hotel in a decent area had all mod cons you need and staff were very friendly. Air con didn't work but windows opened so that was good. Recommended for a very short cheap stay. Republique metro station within 5 mins walk. Loads of cafes...More

France > Ile-de-France > Paris > Le Marais / Notre Dame / Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of
people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.

Our room had its own attached large bathroom, and we paid a very reasonable price (in August 2016) for 4 nights. When I read other reviews for the Hotel Picard I was surprised that some said their rooms shared a bathroom. I think in this hotel it must be a mixed bag. So, if you want to book one with attached bath, make sure you ask. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable (3 persons) but a bit dated - however, when we were there they were doing renovations on the ground floor. This hotel is in a great location.
