I spent five nights at the Hotel Adriatic in Paris in October 2017.
Location is the best feature of the Hotel Adriatic. From where Le Bus Direct from the airports drop off in front of Gare de Lyon, it is a four-minute walk to the...More
I chose to stay at this hotel because I needed somewhere close to Gare du Lyon for an early train. It is relatively cheap for a hotel room in Paris but it was still quite a lot of money.

Hotel is clean and has the welcome addition of a coffee machine in foyer. All good except be aware that although this hotel does have a very small retro fitted elevator or lift . One cannot avoid having to heft ones cases up about 12...More
Comfortable bed, great shower, that's what you really need in Paris, and this hotel has them. Add in 24 hour front desk staff who are very helpful, and this is a real find. It's really close to the Gare de Lyon, and easy to find....More
I'm torn about this hotel. I will admit that the room itself was fine and had a surprisingly okay bathroom. The location is great and if you get a room with a window, then that's awesome. However, do not go here if you have LOTS...More

Yes, me and my husband consider that it's safe to walk on Rue de Lyon and around Gare de Lyon, we actually done it at midnight and there were enough decent people at the restaurant, on October 2014, the same thing for walking thru Place de Bastille. Instead, going to Bercy (the opposite direction for Bastille), there is a less lightened passage/road, smelling of urine, on which I'll be suspicious to go late at night ... Over all, I would not worry enjoying late night travelling solo, we've done it for 5 different visits and had no problems :)
