We certainly found this to be a true oasis in the midst of a busy city. Everything lived up to our already high expectations, but on top of that we also really appreciated the friendly and personal care we received from our hosts. We could not have wished for a better four-day stay!

The house is located in a quiet part of Montmartre, next to an excellent bakery. The compound is secure and private though not signposted. The owner was away but her friend took excellent care of us with recommendations for food, travel and activities. We were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine mid-stay and a bottle of bubbly on our...

Our stay at the Paris Oasis came up to all the high expectations we had after reading so many positive reviews here on Trip Advisor. We stayed in the Iris room, which was small but beautifully formed. We particularly liked Helene’s quirky art-works, and the attention to every single detail. Calvin Klein sheets, a deliciously comfy bed, a Nespresso coffee...

With beautiful sunshine throughout our stay we were able to make the most of the beautiful patio and garden areas - with lots of al fresco dining and relaxing at the end of a long...

We stayed at Paris-Oasis in the beginning of May. As we arrived, we were greeting by the very friendly owners on the way to their own vacation. Their temporary host Dewey was amazing - friendly, hospitable, and had some great stories. The room we had was PERFECT and was somewhere we actually felt that we could relax (most places you...

Stayed in the Lucie Loft with daughter and her two preteen children mid-April. First of all, we totally lucked out with perfect weather -- sunny every day with temperatures in the 70's. (This was Paris in April?!?) Even though we were on the top floor it never got hot. Big windows open to the courtyards and big skylights can be...

Me and my girlfriend went to Paris for her 30th birthday, and we couldn't really ask for a better place to stay. Paris is a fantastic city, and when you return home after a day out, you are really looking forward to spend some time in the lovely garden with a glass of wine, away from the city noise and...

Staying in Montmartre

Neighbourhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colours, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
