I have known the Hotel du Nord / Le Pari Vélo for about 10 years and I highly recommend it for business or leisure. The friendly team (including the dogs!) couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. The rooms are all decorated differently with vintage objects founds in flea markets - yes, the soundproofing could be a bit better and the...

Stayed for the third time and as always felt very welcome. Rooms are small but clean, breakfast great and staff very welcoming and helpful. Walking distance to Republic for Metro or buses. Free bikes available. Small interesting restaurants close by, not the usual tourist type.

I had a wonderful 2 night stay in Paris and am so glad I chose Hotel du Nord for my home base. It was SO close to the metro, offered a very good breakfast (with wonderful coffee and whole grain french bread that I loved, (fresh from the bakery at the corner), plus really delicious marmalade) and ... best of...

Check out all the plants cascading down the front of the building or the very cute reception area. Staff were extremely helpful and enthusiastic. Our room was small with limited outlets but this is an older building in Europe. I appreciated the interior decorations throughout. Great location, great price and clean. It was always full so make your reservations in...

This was already our second time staying at lovely Hôtel du Nord - and we'll sure come back anytime. Service is charming, very friendly, and helpful. The rooms aren't very spacious and far from luxurious, but exactly what you need for a nice weekend in Paris. And as many of the previous reviewers mentioned, the location is superb, including Le...

We loved our 1 night stay in this historic hotel (from the 17th century). It's within a block of the Metro and a great Brasserie with friendly staff and good food. It's within walking distance to some great neighborhoods (e.g.. Marais & Bastille). We would have enjoyed staying longer at this centrally located hotel and made use of the free...

Adorable small hotel with a very convenient location. The friendly personnel is more than happy to rent you one of the bikes, but the times I visited this hotel I just walked or took the tube. You’re in the middle of the Canal Saint-Martin area full of shops, pubs and restaurants. The Marais is close by and so is the...

I first saw this hotel when I walked down the street, and immediately decided to come back to stay. What caught my attention was the charming old style reception and the bicycles placed outside, to use free of charge for visitors above 18 years old. We stayed four Nights in February, and the hotel totally lived up to expectations. Unfortunately...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our hotel is a small one with 23 rooms that are warm, cozy and attractively decorated. When our guests arrive, we give them a key to the entrance door to the hotel as well as a room key. Right away everyone feels at home or rather, in a guesthouse. Our rooms are all different, each one has its own style: Oriental, pop, empire, Pompei, and so on.... We take particular care with the breakfast, served in the basement with its old-fashioned stone ceiling. Our breakfast consists in croissants, the traditional baguette and whole-grain bread, made not by an industrial bakery but by our local baker. The jams are homemade, prepared by us using quality fruits. All the products we use are chosen and furnished by local shops. Our guesthouse is located in a central district animated by its residents. It is a popular district for Parisians that is famous for its picnics along the Canal Saint-Martin, its bars, its restaurants and small local shops. All around you will find many Parisian brands, boutiques, bookstores, and food stores. We have selected them and tested them before recommending them. For getting around in Paris we have bicycles that are freely available during your stay. This is also part of our approach. Whatever the reason for your visit to Paris, we hope you will appreciate the atmosphere of our guesthouse. ... more   less
