We loved this hotel for many reasons: the location was excellent and close to a Metro station. the room was clean, spacious and comfortable; and the breakfast buffet was fantastic.

Best of all, the hotel staff was friendly and helpful and we felt like we were staying at someone's (very large) home.

The non-alcoholic drinks bar was open from 2pm, and they stocked our room fridge with orange juice, Pepsi and bottled water daily.

When we return to Paris in the future we will seek out the Astotel chain for our stays.

We stayed at the 34B for 7 nights and loved it.We got the standard room for 2 people and it was fine. The service is excellent! They offer a breakfast every morning with plenty of choices for everyone. It is in an excellent location close to restaurants, bars and pharmacies (covid testing). We walked to a lot of the attractions and walked back to the hotel around midnight and felt safe at all times. The Astotel Pass is the best thing about this hotel chain!! The Astotels offer a snack, coffee and drinks from 2 in the afternoon to late at night. We stopped at several of the hotels and were able to eat and drink, use the wifi and restrooms without anyone asking if you were a guest or not. I would come back to this hotel or to any of the other ones closer to The Louvre. The 123 Sebastapool hotel had the best snacks and choices for drinks but we were not so sure about its location. We totally recommend the 34B HOTEL.

I have been staying at Hotel 34b for a while now, i visit Paris around 4/5 times a year. The hotel is located in a very good location with walking distance to all major sights in Paris, restaurants and bars are seconds away and this makes you feel more secure due to that you dont need to go wandering far at night. The hotel is very clean and the staff are all friendly and english speaking. The hotel offers free coffee/tea/cakes and minerals from 2pm onwards. One for the book if you want a good hotel and a great location.

Staff and Service

The highlight for our visit was the Assistant Director of the hotel. He was such a lovely person who helped us in our check in process while graciously looking out for us to ensure that we have a safe and enjoyable experience. The rest of the hotel staff were just as hospitable and welcoming as they were able to assist in our daily needs like room cleaning and breakfast service. Also, the hotel provides a complimentary in-room minibar which is restocked daily!

Location

Cafes and restaurants literally dot the surrounding area of 34B, some of which are hip, while some are traditional. The biggest locational advantage of this hotel is its proximity to two Metro stations (Grand Boulevards and Le Peletier)

Room and Amenities

The room we stayed in felt a bit dated but it’s very spacious and well-kept (big thanks to the tireless housekeepers). One amenity that deserves to be highlighted is its cavernous lounge area. It is located in the center of the hotel lobby which has a panoramic glass roof which provides dazzling sunlight during the day.

Definitely would recommend!

I have just returned from an excellent stay at the 34B and I would highly recommend to anyone, singles, couples and families alike.

I was in room 303 with a small balcony out onto a small French style side street which I loved as it added to the whole Paris experience! A lot had mentioned in other reviews ask for a room onto the inner courtyard, but I prefer onto the street,. There are two sets of doors, both tripled glazed onto the street, so when closed both I heard nothing.

The hygience was better than some 5 star hotels I have stayed in and my room was very recently renovated with a perfect bathroom, bed and bed linen. Of course, as usual room size was quite small, but that is the deal in Paris everywhere. My single room had a very good quality firm double bed and enough room to move around the room to use the tea tray or deal with luggage etc.

I didn't have breakfast there as I was with friends who were staying nearby. But the lobby area is very spacious bright and airy with a high glass ceiling.

The staff were all very good at reception during my trip and very obliging by email before my arrival as I needed a flower shop as soon as I arrived and that was all sorted for me.

I loved the area. It has a real buzz with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants full of people having a good time! The Grand Boulevard metro really is 2 or 3 mins walk away with easy links to Gard du Nord for CDG.

I will definitely stay at this hotel again. I found a really great deal on the hotel website, so check that route before the big search engines!

The staff are polite, rooms are decent sized (Remember we are in Paris where space is luxury), FREE MINI-BAR, the cleaning staff would clean the room thoroughly; sometimes even folded some clothes- so kind. They have an excellent lounge with coffee, tea, softdrinks and coffee. As you step out, you have tons of options to dine and shop. Metro station is closeby and everything is awesome.

To note, if you get the room closer to the main road(like mine) you might hear energetic Parisians enjoying matches and partying. Since i am not a light sleeper, it didnt bother me at all. But i will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for three nights whilst going to rugby. Very friendly staff who spoke English. Our room was bright and bigger than normal compared to others we have stayed in ,in Paris. Breakfast was plentiful ,with lots of choice and situated in a lovely airy breakfast room . This room during the day had free cakes and biscuits with tea/coffee and non alcoholic drinks through till midnight .
As said by others lots of good restaurants around and close to Grande Boulevards Métro .This is definitely where we will stay next time we come to Paris .

I was in Paris for work and needed to be not too far from the OECD and this was recommended by my Paris colleagues. It was a great place to stay. Near the Opera and 5 minutes from Galeries Lafayette, it was an easy walk to lots of places, including restaurants. The room was quiet, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was ample and it was handy to have a free snack bar (they call it a bar but no alcohol) open most of the day and evening. I wasn't too keen on the red, white and blue striped wallpaper in the corridor but otherwise, I'd definitely stay here again as it's so central. (When we were there the national strikes had closed the metro.)

We spent six restful nights in the Hotel 34B and felt very comfortable. The hotel follows the Corona rules carefully, so we felt very safe in this respect.

Of course, breakfast was not served as usual, instead was handed in pre-filled bags with disposable cutlery and without plates. But at least we were able to take it in a large, airy room at a reasonable distance from the other guests. The breakfast staff was extremely friendly and helpful. At this point we would like to thank them again!

The hotel itself is located in a restaurant-wise excellent area: many typical French brasseries, but also Italian, Arabic, African and other country-specific restaurants in a maximum of 10 minutes walking distance. Three subway lines were also within easy reach, one of which goes directly to many places of interest and the Seine.

Thus, all in all, we find the hotel very recommendable.

We stayed at Hotel 34B - Astotel two weeks ago and although we didn't use this service, we did notice a lot of luggage behind the reception desk, and clients leaving them behind were given a number-tag. I didn't see any dedicated area for this purpose, but the luggage seemed looked after as the reception always has a handful of employees.

Ordinary EU plugs and USB plugs can be used in the room. If u need an adapter it must be an adapter converting from USA to EU standard !

The best way is to travel by taxi, they have a fixed rate I believe. Do not take unauthorized taxis. The hotel does store luggage safely.
