A very comfortable and friendly family run hotel; perfect for our stay in Carcassonne. Within walking distance of La Cite and all the attractions of La Ville Basse. Very convenient for the airport too. Our hosts made us feel so welcome- we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend highly.

We enjoyed our stay and a good continental breakfast and clean rooms even if the loo in our room was small. A friendly informal hotel. It is a roughly 30 minute walk to the medieval city which you can do along the river Aude and then back over the Pont Vieux.

Room was good and breakfasts excellent served in our own private dining area. A good walk to the medieval city, and hotel is a little way away from the centre of the town. The walk into the town is not particularly attractive. The little train was very good value.

This hotel is clean and the decor is very traditional. The service was very good so no complaints here. We would have preferred to stay slightly closer to the centre but the last minute booking didn't allow us to be fussy. I thought it was quite expensive when compared to other hotels we stayed at during our trip in similar... More

A late minute booking into Carcassonne on one of the busiest weekends of the year presented us with the Hotel Montsegur. This period hotel just outside the bourg was fantastic. The welcome was incredibly warm and friendly and the room very comfortable with good air conditioning. An easy walk into the city centre and about 30 minutes gentle walk to... More

I can't say we enjoyed our stay here as the room was very cramped and the bed was uncomfortable but the staff were lovely so I don't want to give it a bad rating. The hotel and room were very clean and quiet. The reception staff speak good english. Parking is onsite and free. It was not very centrally located... More

Within walking distance of the town centre and railway. The Airport bus stops right outside the hotel. Comfortable home from home with sitting room. Drinks available, no dining but happy to recommend nearby restaurants also booking a dining river cruise on our behalf, a very pleasant stay with very helpful hotelier.

Our room was on the first floor with plenty of room the deco has lots of character which is in keeping with the Hotel. Parking outside which is a bonus. What a beautiful well apportioned hotel in the more modern area (yeah, modern as in built in the 1800s as opposed to 1200s around the walled in castle!) of the mountainous city. I don't think we could have picked a better time to explore the walls and valleys of the ancient city of Carcassonne, replete with tails of Cathar heresies,... More

This hotel is one of the Logis chain, run by the same family for three generations. It is an elegant property with a gravelled, enclosed parking space at the front of the hotel, making it easy to park from the side street and to confidently leave the car when necessary. The hosts were helpful with advice on finding somewhere to... More
