From the moment you walk through the door of Baudon de Mauny you will not be disappointed. the entrance is historically beautiful and does not disappoint. You reach the front door to be welcomed by a 17C staircase to beat none. No check but a person who greets you personally offers you a coffee or a drink and then sits...

You have a feeling to be in a Jane Eyre film. The stairwell is big like a small house, you go up like a queen. Then the surprice - you go in the bedroom and you are back in modern time. Very good design - you never see bevor.

I recently stayed at the Baudon de Mauny for three nights while travelling through the Southwest of France with a friend. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the history of the place, which has been in the same family’s hands for nearly 2 centuries. The whimsy and taste of the modern decorations juxtaposed with the original structure and its...

This was a unique experience. The location, setting, charm and class were unparalleled. Thibault was a superb host. Highly recommended for travelers seeking an out-of-the-ordinary lodging experience in a beautiful city.

I have only a little to add to previous reviews posted on this site. We had a wonderful one week stay at this very unusual property, a restored 18th century mansion in the heart of old Montpellier. The staff, including receptioniste Thibault, were extremely helpful in making reservations for tours and restaurants, and in helping us use the trains to...

We stayed here recently to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was perfect. Tucked away down a small street in the centre of the old town it's wonderfully discreet ... You would never know such a beautiful hotel is hidden behind the old wooden doors. Despite being in such a central location once you're inside the property it is peaceful...

There is nothing more that can be said about this hotel but that it's absolutely perfect. The limited number of rooms make it an intimate affair and the decor and atmosphere would classify it as a true sanctuary. An excellent balance is struck between old and new. The rooms are large with all required amenities. The staff is lovely, helpful...

We stayed for two nights and we had booked two rooms. On finding the hotel which isn't, by the way totally easy, we were delighted with what we saw! This is a gem of a restoration created by the family owners with wit and panache. The wide stairways have not been over prettified and the slightly distressed look marries well...

I chose Montpellier for a stop because of this hotel. As a surprise for my family as there are my husband and our two kids (7 and 9). What can I say: this house is excellent in so many ways. We were really surprise when we arrived at the first floor of Baudon de Mauny (after we stepped through the...
