Due to a plumbing disaster we were unable to stay at Merle Blanc as booked, however we were offered a wonderful alternative by the delightfully charming Alexandre. We spent one night in his uniquely magical guest room which included a fantastic breakfast in the alternative universe of Alexandre's imagination. We were then relocated to a beautiful apartment overlooking an ancient...

Nice clean accommodation. Host was very pleasant and helpful . Apartment is in a lively central spot. It's hard to find by car and there is no free parking as led to believe . We stayed 2 nights with 3 kids which was long enough to explore Montpellier. It was very hot when we visited and struggled to sleep with...

We stayed in one of these apartments with a mezzanine level. Our 3 children loved staying in the upper level and the apartment was great for all 5 of us. It had great character and was centrally located for all that the 'old' centre of Montpellier had to offer. We were able to both eat out and prepare meals from...

This is a wonderful B&B in central Montpellier. Alex is a charming, friendly and helpful host. He recommended and booked dinner for us, gave us tips on the best places to visit, and was ready with a typical, enjoyable French breakfast for us in the morning. He is a great collector of toys, antiques, and objets d'art. The overall effect...

I stayed in one of Alexandre's apartments for a week at the end of March whilst following a french course at a nearby language school. The apartment is situated on the middle floor of an old building and has a cosy feel with a snug bedroom and some period details (exposed brickwork, beams). It was perfect for me as it...

The apartment is furnished with good taste, is clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet in the night. Alex was very friendly and booked table at a very good restaurant for us on our night of arrival. He also gave good tips on what to do in the city. The location is in the middle...

Located in the cobblestoned pedestrian area of the old city, Chambre d'Autres is on the first floor in a lovely 14th century building in an area that is vibrant and alive, full of restaurants, cafés, bars, and boutiques. The room is quiet however, and there's much to appreciate about the high ceilings, tall windows with light streaming in, and beautiful...

We (2 couples) stayed 2 nights in September and this apartment is in a great location, close to all the attractions of Montpellier. There are lots of restaurants and bars close by but we found it very quiet at night. Alex is a wonderful host with lots of good advice especially regarding the local restaurants and wine. We followed his...

This is the best way to experience Montpellier. It is comfortable, spacious and very centrally located but best of all, it comes with the lovely Alex who will fill the fridge with milk, butter and homemade jam before you arrive then recommend fabulous places to eat and drink (ah, the wine!). We loved Chez Boris (3 min walk) for wine...

I do not usually stay at B&Bs but the hotel options in Montpellier, especially those in the new section of town, seemed really sterile and modern and not representative of Montpellier. I am really glad I stayed at Alex's place - we got to sample life in the center of this vibrant and historic city in an authentic way. The...
