The hotel is run by a very friendly family who live near by and are very understanding and accommodating. The garden is lovely and the hotel full of character with an excellent location. Of course it is a 2 star hotel so is not without faults such as thinner walls than more expensive alternatives. However for a pleasant, affordable and... More

Its Location is the central square Near the old city. It is very difficult to stop the car and wait your spouse to check in and get the language in the hotel. The underground public parking is about 100 mts on foot but very confusing to drive due to the one ways etc. The GPS didn't find it because its... More

I am lying in bed in my hotel room right now. Someone recommended room 4 as a nice quiet room away from student carousing. After some needed street reconstruction, the student square is gone. Streets are quiet. Rooms 1-4 can only be recommended as street level rooms if you have a problem with stairs. The bathroom window, with no curtains... More

We've just come back from beautiful Albi and are very pleased we chose the Hotel Laperouse for our stay. The young family that run the hotel were so welcoming, friendly and helpful and the hotel was delight. The location was very convenient only 10 minutes from the train station and on the edge of the old town. We were in... More

Our two teenagers and my wife and I spent three nights in Albi as very welcome guests of Quentin. The second floor terrace room was spacious and inviting. We especially enjoyed being able to have an impromptu private picnic lunch on the balcony overlooking the pool. Our teens slept soundly in the first floor room facing the street. Breakfast had... Quentin the owner is friendly and helpful and the hotel is clean. the decor and carpets are tired but the beds are comfortable. the breakfast was adequate with homemade preserves and fresh coffee. The location is excellent but we won't return. We stayed in the more expensive Terrace room thinking it would be better than it was. While there was no street noise in our room at the back which overlooked a pretty garden the room was dingy and depressing with grubby, stained carpet which needs shampooing and the terrace overlooking the courtyard... Stayed two nights in two rooms, both facing the garden, one with a terrace. A very nice hotel in two adjacent buildings, 24 rooms. Owners of the hotel are very gracious and accommodating. Breakfast was cordial, but maybe a bit overpriced. Location, however is spot on. 10 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes from the main tourist... More

Did not heed hotel's advice, and had a hard time trying to reach the hotel by car GPS. Nearly all access roads closed and converted into a pedestrian mall. Finally have to park, and on foot found it in no time. Warmly received. Room in adjacent building is spacious and a beautiful balcony looking into the pool. Owner is very... More

My mother and I stayed at this hotel while we visted Albi two weeks ago. We chose the place based on reviews and its location. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and very clean. There are no frivolities but everything is what there. It is a 2-star hotel and does not have a safe or fridge in the room but... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Since we run the hotel (in march 2013), we did many improvements (plumbing, decoration, mattress, carpets, electricity...). Our intention is not to get a luxurious hotel... Our 2 ** ranking fits us very well ! However, we want to increase convenience and to develop the character of the building. The purpose is good living in a typical place, full of charm, very different from the standardised atmosphere of hotel chain business. Christelle & Quentin - the managers ... more   less
