Some have said it is just an ordinary and basic hotel. It is true, there is nothing special about the rooms or architecture. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. We stayed as a family of four and had a nice room with balcony overlooking the Lot river. That being said, this hotel itself is special. The staff is nothing...

Hotel is good value for the money and comfortable and clean with basic decor.....right on the river. Room was small but bathroom was large and modern. REstaurant was very good. Hotel was in reasonably good location for seeing Cahors and sites in surrounding area. We could easily walk to the old city and famous bridge in town. Would stay here...

We first visited La Chartreuse a year ago. It is comfortable, with a good restaurant situated on the banks of the River Lot. The menu and wine list are excellent and well worth a stop just for those. It is also close to a Cave selling local wines and other regional specialites. We'll definitely stay there again when we are...

We stayed on a Wednesday night and arrived by car. Receptionist was OK. Room was very basic apart from balcony. Laminate had broken in several places on the furniture, blistering paint on balcony. When next room flushed toilet it was so loud. Breakfast didn't have much choice, poor.

We feel that the hotel is too expensive for its quality. The hotel is rather old and needs a make-over. There was lots of noise. Apparently the piping of the bathrooms (douche and toilet) above us passed through a closet in our room. Every time someone flushed the toilet we were scared up. The breakfast was ok and in relation...

Room clean, comfortable and cool on a hot day. Pool was a welcome relief from the heat. The staff were altogether not interested. They need to realize they are in the hospitality industry, I travel as a solo woman and found their lack of warmth unsettling. Eating at their restaurant was no different, no effort made at all, I actually...

This hotel is well located just outside the old town. It is an easy walk into the town across the river Lot. There is also free parking. Very friendly check in staff tried to get us connected to WiFi. We were told there is a problem with Apple wifi. Very strange. On the second night we were connected. Average breakfast...

One very hot 31° day, 800kms drive from Normandy, easily found hotel, parked in shade, found our chilled and air conditioned room (with curtains still drawn against the heat) provided such a feeling of calm and well-being for us and our dog! Room and bathroom spotless. River view, boats, ducks, outside terraced eating area. We were able to stroll over...

Comfortable hotel in a good location. Nice environment overlooking the river with a small but good swimming pool. Reasonable restaurant in a great setting. Friendly staff, good parking. Does what it says on the tin. Recommend
