We stayed two nights, checking in with no notice - by the evening it was full. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Room small but clean, bed fine, breakfast very adequate. Nice to have a bath. Very close to both railway and bus station, and not too far from the historic centre. Seedy area but did not cause us any problems....

A two star establishment that deserves its rating. (I am making this point for, as I occasionally used to already point out, in France you might sometimes really wonder at what criteria are applied for the hotel star rating...). Very close to the central train station (2 minutes walk), convenient for a traveler's stop-over and a longer stay, alike. The...

This hotel is practical - right in front of Toulouse's train station. The façade is horrible. Inside is spotless but very basic. I felt like I was sleeping at the YMCA but paying 60 euros to do so. Lying in our small double bed on clean but worn sheets and a quilt-type bedspread, we listened to someone peeing in a...

I was wavering between 3 and 4 stars, but I was thinking of all the other one's I've given 4 stars to, and this one was not quite as good. The good parts are that it is as convenient as possible to the train station. I was arriving late, so I didn't want to be hauling any luggage anywhere, even...

Hotel D’Orsay room 120 overlooks a very busy thoroughfare, but once the double glazing windows were shut and with a very quiet air conditioning unit on all night (to counter some 22 degrees centigrade after cold England) we slept undisturbed and comfortably on a 4.6. reasonably firm bed in a clean enough and plain room which was roughly 10x12 feet...

My parents and I traveled from Germany to Toulouse, Carcassonne and Albi. I chose the Hotel D'Orsay for it's location near the train station and was not disappointed. It was also in walking distance to downtown and we felt very safe to walk around the area even at night. The rooms were pleasant and clean, the staff was helpful and...

Spent two nights at the Hotel D'Orsay last weekend and were very comfortable. Yes, the area is near the Station and therefore not very up market however the staff are lovely and the beds are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is more than adequate with cereal, fruit juice, yoghurt, coffee and croissants/bread. Yes there is a sex shop and we also...

Excellent value for the price. The rooms were basic but clean. The air-conditioner was very efficient and quiet and the front desk staff charming and helpful. The hotel is directly opposite the train and bus stations. As other reviewers have mentioned, the hotel was situated in the red-light district, however we didn't get any hassle from the locals.

I was very happy that this hotel had A/C. It took me about 40 mins to find the hotel after getting off the shuttle from the Airport. It wasn't as close to the main centre as I was hoping, and the walk to and from was a bit sketchy. I think the neighbourhood wasn't the best, but for what you...

When travelling in France, I tried to stay in rooms costing about 40 Euros a night, so with that price range in mind, the Hotel d'Orsay in Toulouse is the best hotel I've stayed at in France. It was also a great value as the room was excellent and the price less than much inferior hotels. It was extremely clean,...
