This place is the best, and I was so fortunate to book it on my first trip to Bayeux. The restaurant had excellent French food for dinner. A chance to dine out without leaving the hotel. Service is excellent

The hotel was located in the center of Bayeux and in close proximity to the Beaches of Normandy and Le Mont Saint Michel. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was excellent, in fact it appeared to be the go to place for the locals.

We stayed here for two days in early May. This hotel had an old world charm, great breakfast and excellent customer service. The location was great too. It was very easy to get to restaurants and shops. Close to the city center and also close to where the DDay Tours were. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Lion d'or was a lovely hotel surrounding a courtyard with parking for guests. Their is a charge of 10 euros to park, but well worth it. The lobby is spectacular with lovely (and perhaps time to replace) old leather furniture in front of a large fireplace which they light every night. We arrived late, but were waited on most graciously....

We were pleased with this hotel for the value provided. Our room was quaint, clean and tidy. The staff was very helpful, and we enjoyed a particularly funny young man who also was also our cocktail waiter in the library. Speaking of the library, it's a great place to enjoy a pre or post dinner cocktail and we also had...

We had a marvelous stay as home base for our tour of the Normandy battlefields and Mt. St. Michel. Our room opened directly off the inner courtyard which only added to the pleasure within.....it was a large, modern comfortable room with huge bathroom, a cozy bed with pillows to sink into and big windows that opened onto the courtyard....... the...

What I liked best about this hotel was how nice the staff were. But it's also in a nice area of Bayeux central, with restaurants and shops all around. The room for me and my three boys was large, charming, and affordable. The breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast--lots of good breads and meats, but best of all was you...

The hotel is quaint, very clean and tidy. Comfortable bed. Very friendly helpful staff. It is situated right in the middle of the old part of town, walking distance to Bayeux tapistry and well positioned for touring all the beaches. The food was very good and plentiful. We will be coming back again.
