Hotel is in a good location although car parking is difficult but that is the same in any city. Requested an early checkin at 11am prior to arrival and was told this was fine, but when we got there room was not ready! Bedroom we had was number 8 on the 4th floor with no lift and a narrow wooden...

Are you looking for an original vintage experience? Do you prefer a typical French room more than a serial hotel..?? This is the right place. Great position in the city. We had room n.2, ground floor. Small but clean and comfortable room. The bed is good as well. Staff is young, flexible and really kind. Breakfast is served in generous...

I booked this Hotel as an overnight stopover in Central Caen, not really expecting a lot. We didn't get a lot in truth, although the continental breakfast was good value for money. You will have read the factual detail elsewhere in the critiques, so I won't bore you with more of the same. The hotel is tatty let's be honest....

My wife and I spent 2 nights at the hotel. We had rented vehicle, and had no problem in finding parking. Make sure you fold in your mirrors!!! We were there for a Tuesday Wednesday, but were told that the parking was limited for Friday market day. IWe had done a similar trip 30 years ago, and coming back was...

We booked this hotel through Booking. com as we thought the price seemed reasonable for a one night stay. It was also pet friendly. However, upon arrival (around 17:00) there was no owner available to greet and welcome us. My partner called the owner only to be told that there would be no one available until 19:00. We were consequently...

This place feels like France, with flower boxes on the windows. It's close to everything in Caen. The rooms are small but large enough for two. Bathroom small but, again, large enough for two. Some antiques, which gave the room character. While the location is on a side street it was a bit loud with noise from passersby on a...

If you're looking for the authentic French experience, this cute little will give it to you. The rooms are 'cozy', and if fact some are just small, but there is enough room and everything you need. Some bathrooms have very small showers but most are just fine. It is within walking distance to lots of bakeries and restaurants, and the...

Booked this hotel through Booking.Com. We wanted something central and inexpensive. Were informed the room would be available at 4 pm but had to wait outside the building until 5 pm. Once booked in the room found it extremely comfortable, ground floor (good for us oldies as there was no lift and we had two large suitcases). Very central, clean,...

“There are many one way streets in Caen, especially in this neighborhood, so if you are driving, be sure you take a good look at the map and know before hand what your route will be. It is not hard to find, but it will help to look closely at the map before you arrive so you get yourself lined up correctly for an easy arrival. You can't get too lost, and even if you miss it the first time around, as we did, it was not hard to figure it out and make it the second time around.”
