In general - the standard is quite poor. It is cheap, and has a parking, it's close to caen memorial (which is not that worthy if you take into consideration the price - 20 EUR! and other museums as cheaper and the content is not that different). For a one night stay it's ok, but there is a bad heating....

O.K. so Crocus Caen Parc Expo is a very basic budget hotel with décor stuck in the early 80’s. Whilst it’s not as good as a Premier Inn or even a Travelodge for that matter, it’s perfectly serviceable as somewhere to get a good comfortable night’s sleep in CLEAN bedding after a day walking around the beaches and museums associated...

I have stayed three times in this hotel and found it comfortable, very clean, the en suite was modern, well laid out and again very clean. The hotel is located five minutes from the main road to the ferry port, which is 15 minutes away. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is good and reasonably priced. I will...

Stayed here for three nights for work. Done the job and was clean enough. Staff friendly. Good car park. 10mins from centre. The hotel looks original from the 80s/early 90s. It could do with some reinvestment and the hotel would benefit from this greatly.

Please avoid this hotel at all costs! It is an absolute shambles and the rooms are filthy. The so called 'bathroom' is a tiny plastic pod with large cracks around the toilet and the sink. The bed linen is old and stained. We counted approx 8 spiders on the ceiling of our room upon arrival and there were a number...

I booked this at fairly short notice and wished I had taken more time to choose. We arrived late off the Portsmouth ferry, we had a little difficulty in findiing it and then more difficulty getting in, the entrance is on a duel carriageway and if you blink you will miss it. Very pleasant lady on reception made us feel...

Stayed one night when going to a concert at the Zenith which is only a short walk away. Very good value for what we paid. Good selection for continental breakfast. Had an evening meal which was good value, and the drinks were reasonable for a hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only two small negatives, the room smelt musky on...

Stopped over on the last night of our motorbike holiday from Costa del Sol back to UK. Only paid 40 pounds for the night two weeks before we came away. I wouldnt have wanted to pay any more because the corridors were dark and dingy and smelt of churches. However the welcome from the receptionist was lovely( shiny dark-haired lady,...

Clean, comfortable, close to everything. helpful and friendly staff. Food not brilliant but tasty enough, Caen is walkable or a cheap taxi ride (or even a bus!) if you want different food. Can't believe Ian W was staying at the same hotel. We also stayed in September 2014 and were delighted. Have booked again for this year. Yes, there may...

We booked the Hotel Crocus Caen Parc Expo through Booking.com which upon arrival was found to be completely unsatisfactory. Booking.com must not bother to check the standard of the hotels they advertise. Filthy conditions including moths and spiders in the room, stains on the bathroom door/walls and rude hotel staff lead us to refuse the hotel room which resulted in...

“We were at the far end of the corridor on the 2nd floor (no lift that I could see, by the way) and wi-fi was less than satisfactory. I imagine that being closer to the reception area to get a better signal will also be noisier because the hotel is far from sound-proof.”
