I have never taken so many pictures of a hotel that i have stayed. Beautiful 14th century mansion with a wonderful garden, that you can spent sometime there relaxing. Rooms are fully equipped, clean and spacious. Free parking. Excellent place to stay if you are visiting aix by car. Compared to the prices of other hotels at Aix it was...

Had a 2 night stay here. The place was very difficult to find, even with satnav, which was a little frustrating. Once found and checked in, the place has a nice overall ambience, moreso from outside the rooms than inside. Outsides are great for family meals and relaxation, with a pleasant outlook, inside felt pokey and more basic. Money needs...

We set «le Bastide du Roy Rene» as our Honey Moon hotel. That was an amazing time we spent at the hotel for 10 days. It's convenient for tourists with a car. Bur if you come without car that's not a problem to get the center of the city. Just in 200m from the hotel there is a bus (line...

I enjoyed my stay here simply because I was with my family and friends. We got together outdoors for meals and enjoyed our time exploring Provence. The hotel looks nice on the outside, indeed has great potential but the rooms are not clean, the lighting is poor (until the light bulbs warm up) the beds uncomfortable and the bathroom had...

Short stay with family during the holiday traveling to Provence. Very nice facility on the outside but rooms are small and dirty inside. Bedspreads full of dust bunnies, dirty floor, dirty tables with imprints of glasses. Smelly bathroom with towels that looked like floor mats for the shower. Not recommended. Better an impersonal chain hotel, which at least ensures adequate...

Tired of Novotel and Ibis when staying near Aix-en-Provence with immediate access to the autoroute? Then try a comfortable, quiet and renovated 15th century bastide in a private park that's less expensive than both these dreary, impersonal chain hotels -- and was built BEFORE autoroutes were invented. It's easy access to Aix by car or bus -- and it's close...

The room was quite disappointing! It was smelly, humidity on the room walls, dirty and old sofas. The place and garden was nice if you dont mind a permanent noise of the Highway just by its side. The lady on the reception desk was nice and always helpfull. Breakfast was nice.

The price is good for a extended stay. Free parking was the bonus. Studio with kitchenette. It is not a hotel. But the bus to aix was a very short walk. Ride to center of town was easy get off at the fountain and go back in front of the shopping center . The room is basic. No maid service...

A little difficult to find but it's quite nice ! The old building is beautifully renovated and pleasantly distributed, particularly with the rez-de-jardin in the company of centinary plane trees. Well balanced breakfast with lovely viennoiseries but fresh fruits were missing!

This place which is NOT a hotel at all, with NO star rating, is located near the highway, looks like a palace from the outside, but it is unbareable from the inside. The pictures of the rooms were taken with super fisheye lens because they are small and not comfortable at all. Since I stayed there in July, the room...

“Beware the stairs. Steep and 27 of them. We are 72. This was almost impossible for us. That said, we loved the grounds and the kitchenette where we made adequate meals. Very quiet countryside ambiance. Bed small and hard but adequate. If we had not had sat nav, would never have found it. But the remoteness is part of its charm. I loved it that they lock the gates at night. We felt safe and that our car would be safe.”
