It appears that no investment has been made to the exteriors of the properties for some time - it looked like a semi-abandoned village and felt quite grotty. Walls are stained, shutters are missing, front door of apartment was filthy. Inside was at least clean but very basic despite paying for a superior upgrade. Even the on-site Boulangerie was full of empty boxes and empty freezers and looked pretty grim and the bread was the worst we’ve ever bought in France. Kids enjoyed the water slides but that was not enough to keep us there. We left early feeling very disappointed. Only good thing was the golf but you don’t need to stay in the village to play there.

Dear 36clairep, We just saw your comment and we are very sorry if your stay was not as expected. If you walked around the village , you have certainly seen some buildings completly renewed in the quarter of the church . We are going on with this campaign and hope you will come back to see all these renewals. We are pleased that your children appreciated the water slides and pools. Despite these points , we hope to see you again in order to change your point of you , Best regards,

Stay at Pierre&Vacance in Pont Royalre village - good choice for vacation in Provence. Close to all major places to be visited, with great option to spent time on place in two large swimming pools or on the great golf course.

We decided to take a short vacation at Pont Royal with our two young children. At the reception the host was unable to communicate in English so it was difficult to get information about the accommodations and to ask questions. We were surprised that we were further charged 10€ a day for parking, this is outrageous at the price we were paying and should be included in the rate. We also took the semi-inclusive meal plan and after reading about the different restaurants on the site wanted to try them out, only to find out that we could only use the meal plan at one restaurant. Lastly at the beginning of September, while the weather is still great, half of the pools and water attractions are closed. Lastly on the cleanliness and safety of villa we rented. There were open wires and broken floor tiles on the stairs. Not a safe environment at all for young children. It also wouldn't hurt for them to dust once in a while.

We had a nice stay in Pont Royal Pierre & Vacances. It is in the middle of all nice place to visit in the Provence. Golf course was beautiful to play on. We had lucky to have nice weather, but the two days of rain didn't give us alternatives to go to.

There are 2 pools. One small Rochet and a "beach" pool. Why dó you close the small one mid sep ? At cloasing day it was 30 C. There were no lifeguard and it wasn't heated. The "beach" pool has a rough surface that hurts your feet when walking in to it. It's heated and there is 2 lifeguards. And - a max of 25 visitors. Make a bussines case leave the nice small pool open instead or as well. Cleanlines of the house we rented left a lot to wish for. The grounds of the village is not suitable for people with knee and hips problems. The park and surrondings looks beautiful and the place is ideal for daytrips to the former roman sites .

Dear FrequentFlier52542, Thank you for having left your opinion on tripadvisor . We can read you were disappointed on our pools and especially on the pool opening dates . The openings of our pools are written on our website and if you preferred the "piscine des Rochers" , other customers preferred the "beach pool" , it depends of what you expected .We can not leave all the pools opened at a time of the year ,we have no more school holidays .Sorry if the cleanliness was not perfect , you can ask our staff to go back in case your are not satisfied , staff is always available for you . Thank you for your comment concerning the park and surroundings , as an ideal place to discover the Provence, Looking forward to see you again, Best regards, Murielle Oger, general manager Pont Royal
