First off, the location of Hotel Garlande is fantastic. It was a very easy walk from the Avignon Centre train station (10 min), and once settled, you are centrally located to anything you want to see. Stefan and Emmanuelle, the owners of the hotel are phenomenal. So kind and warm and extremely helpful. At check in, Stefan made sure we...

Have been 2 days in Avignon, 4 people in the family room on the top floor. The hotel is small but charming and clean, right in the centre of the city, with parking not so distant from it. Excellent breakfast and very friendly and helpful reception. Very good value for money IMO, reccomended.

Exceptional! Perfect service, delicious breakfast, nice person, comfortable room and retro style. The room was pretty good and the whole hotel was like a small "chateau". The owners were very very nice and helped us with the luggage. They were very patient to introduce the town to us and answer the questions. If i go to Avignon again, I would...

It was great. The room was comfortable - not large, especially as we had it in the twin rather than double configuration, but manageable, and I've had much smaller rooms elsewhere. The bathroom was also small, but clean and modern. The room had more character than a chain hotel, without having inconvenient quirks. The location is great - inside the...

Two of us stayed here for five nights. We had rooms 7 and 8 on the top floor, which were up two floors of spiral stairs (no elevator). The rooms were quiet and private together. The hotel is small with friendly and helpful owners. The hotel is located near the palace and excellent restaurants. The breakfast was included and had...

We like finding places that have character, but also clean, comfortable and welcoming. This hotel ticked all of the boxes. We knew were onto a good thing when the taxi driver from the TGV station spoke highly of the place and its owners (who he knew) and drove us to the door as he had a pass to drive into...

Excellent location within the walled city centre in a quiet street. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. No elevator, but no problem for us. Bathroom a bit outdated, but functioned well. Great hospitality and superb breakfast!

We stayed here for 4 nights as the base to explore the Provence area. The Hotel itself is in a convenient location about 10 minutes walk from the train station and around the corner from the tourist information centre where tours can be booked and where they depart from. The room was quaint, decorated in a provincial style which is...

Hotel de Garlande is an excellent small and very quiet hotel. The owners, Emmanuelle and Stéphane, are some of the most friendly people I've ever met. They give you all the information about Avignon you need, and not only about Avignon. The breakfast is a must - and it's not run of the mill, it has a very personal and...
