As a woman travelling alone, and on a tight budget for business, I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The new owners have renamed the hotel Hotel Des Dames, and I had room "Madame Soliel" which was charming, even on the 4th floor. The room was full of light and very atmospheric. Although the traffic was noisy during the... More

The Commodore ()one star) has been bought by a very pleasant married couple and re-named "Hotel des Dames". My single room had certainly the smallest bathroom suite I've ever encountered - about the footprint of two London phonebooks - but adequate. Near Acropolis Tram stop, only about 6 stops from the central station - just one euro fifty. Do try... More

It is a centrally located hotel with simple rooms, but old, charming commons. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. First, I thought it was overpriced, but it appears that so is every other hotel in town. Nice is nevertheless well worth a visit....

A charming courtyard garden, where breakfast is served is worth a suppliment payment. The bedlinen is spotless, the matress'es very good. The "patron" more than charming. The hotel is situated a moment's walk from the tramway stop , connecting to all of Nice, and a comfortable walk away from the port , or to Nice Riqieur train station, connecting to... More

Although the people working in the Hotel are generally nice and friendly, the rooms are a nightmare. Specifically, the bathrooms. I am not exaggeraring when I tell you that the bathrooms are literally the size of an elevator. They were obviously built into the rooms and are a disaster for anyone who isn't as skinny as a cardboard. You can... More

Service was absolutely amazing. When we asked the lady at concierge what there was to eat around the area, she truthfully said there wasn't a lot, but gave us some menus from take-away places and even called and placed our order for us. She was always really friendly, asking us how our day was and if we found things alright.... More

This small hotel is quite close to a tram line that takes one into the center of the city; if you are lucky you can find parting (paid) in front of the hotel. The staff were very kind and helpful, and even "fed" the parking meter for us!. The room was very small, but adequate for one night. There were... More

Having stayed at many European Hotel and B & B's I'm use to older / quint establishments. However room #14 was the worst room I've encountered. Unusual smells usually from stall cigarette smoke embedded in the walls is one thing most travelers have to get use to. However mold on bathroom walls and chain-pulling toilets that leaks creating mold on... More

We stayed in this hotel for two days and it was a nightmare. the rooms are very small and dingy. We had very small useless fan in the room. We could barley sleep as the rooms got very hot (we were in NIce in September). If you open the windows the noise of the traffic kills you. The beds are... More

The room smelled like sewer and the bed stank of cigarette smoke. Do note all rooms are smoking rooms. Clean yes but stinky! Our room had a cute french balcony, but it is off a somewhat noisy street and during the summer you definitely want your windows open for both some cool air and the aforementioned stinkyness.
