The location is excellent, close to the beaches and to the small harbour of Pointe Rouge, where regular ferries connect to the Vieux Port and trip boats leave to the Calanques. The house is delicious, with a beautiful garden, a large and well-kept swimming pool, a very nice space around it. The suite, where my wife and I stayed for...

We are in agreement with "john m" below and NOT "Maximilien K"! We had a really nice family break here staying in the studio which was large and clean. It comprised a sitting room/kitchenette, toilet, bathroom and double bedroom and opened right onto the poolside. Breakfast was excellent and taken "outdoors" by the pool under a canopy. The grounds of...

Better to write it in English. I spent one day on July, 5th 2015. The only thing that this place has to offer is the pool. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use it at lunch, before 10:30 or after 18:30. The host is an old lady who obviously doesn't like at all to do B&B. She spends her...

We stayed here for four days. La Palmeraie is a delightful residence. Situated on the outskirts of Marseille with the nearby beach just a bit of a walk away. There are plenty of snack places down there to have a drink or a bite to eat at lunch time. Suzy is an excellent host. Charming and most welcoming. The breakfasts...

You will enjoy this unique B&B/ self catering French boutique style accommodation! The French theme continues throughout the property - furnishings, food, location and the surrounding area. Suzy is very welcoming and kind offering breakfast at a shared table with the other guests overlooking the pool. You can get to local places easily by local transport - boat or bus...

We went here on total chance. It is a Lovely oasis with good location close to the beach, the local hangouts and communications to Marseille centre. We went to Cassis from here with two busses. Took about 2,5h. The lady who owns the place is absolutely adorable and makes a home made breakfast every morning. We were more than satisfied...

We have had two wonderful weeks at La Palmeraie. A real oasis in Marseille which is perfectly situated for beaches and with easy connections into the city. Suzy Khalifa looked after us perfectly and we cannot recommend this chambre d'hote highly enough. Our room was exceptionally comfortable and beautifully furnished. We hope to return one day! After taking in the fantastic Mucem museum we drove south on the Corniche du Pres. JFK and into Suzy's (nice) neighborhood a few, short blocks from the sea. Suzy is fantastic and the room was clean and very well stocked. We parked our car in front of her home and took her advise for dinner: check out my review of...

Truly a gem hidden behind the walls of the property. Didn't expect that in the middle of the city but the photos didn't disappoint. Suzy was a joy and her attempts at speaking English was commendable. She and our 7 year old daughter really hit it off. I also appreciated her consideration of a one night stay as that is...

A pleasant, quiet double room, off a shaded garden with a pool. All very relaxed and felt like a bit of an oasis after a hot day in town. Plenty of lounging space. The hostess is friendly and attentive. Breakfast was good. You breakfast communally, but it's a big table, so don't be intimidated! The location is pretty good, though...

“The Suite is lovely Studio- rustic and small”

“The double room is for 1-2 people, outside there's a lounge setting amongst leaves. The studio is split level with a double bed downstairs and a single bed in the attic; it also has a kitchenettte area (though I'm not sure the rulews about cooking). It's where one of her sons used to live when he was at home. The suite is pretty big with a separate bedroom and living room, where you can put fold-out beds, so it's a family/friends thing. It is right next to the pool so in summer you could essentially make it an indoor/outdoor thing, although I suppose that's true of all the rooms. They are all charming in their own way. We got the guided tour at the end.”

“My husband is 6'7" and we were in the studio. He had to watch his head in the shower and going up the stairs, but he is used to being too big for places.”

“When you check in, you will receive one key for your room and one key for the outside gate. Ask if you need an additional key, and Suzy may be able to give you at least one to the gate so you are not waiting on the street for your spouse to return with the key!”
