This hotel is easy to find, and there is some local secure parking. The hotel itself has been renovated and is clean and tidy. Certainly above average for an in-town hostelry in France. It's no Relaix-Chateau but does the job.

New Hotel Vieux Port is a nice, small hotel in the heart of the city. We had a very tastefull and well furnished standard room on the 4th floor with a small veranda. The room itself was quite small, the bathroom large and brand new....More
We loved this hotel! The theme of our floor was Japan, the room was adequate size, good bathroom, excellent fittings. Breakfast was good quality and plentiful. We had a problem with a credit card being stolen and the staff were most helpful. Great location. Highly...More
The room we stayed in was lovely (theme "Mille et une nuits"), nicely decorated, spacious, fresh, with a nice view on the Vieux Port. Pleasant experience overall, but do not try to find an Internet Café after 10.00 pm in Marseille (around Vieux port), it...More

Take the Metro to Vieux-Port. It's very fast and there's only one intervening stop. You're right by the hotel when you emerge although you will need to turn a corner of the building to find the hotel entrance, which is quite discreet - facing the street and not the quaysde. Google street view is not essential but I always use it in advance of arriving in a new place just to locate entrances etc.
