At the foot of the steps leading to the St. Charles train and bus station, and a 15 minute walk to the old port, the hotel is well-located for a city break, with easy connections to transport links, the surrounding area and the airport. Competitively priced, the room was small but comfortable and adequate for our needs. Although overlooking the... More

Close to the train station. The rooms are a bit small and the bathrooms are even smaller The breakfast however was spectacular and the staff were pretty friendly and helpful Hotel is a bit far from all the attractive bits of marseille and the walk over there is a bit dodgy

Nestled 1/2 block from St. Charles Train Station, in an old and dirty neighborhood, the Hotel Balladins is new and clean! Our double room is very comfortable with A/C and a convenient lift to our fifth floor room. I liked the amenities of hair dryer and soap dispenser in the shower. Paying the extra $10 for breakfast for two of... More

The hotel is just below the steps from the railway station. The street is very busy with a lot of eateries and the Vieux-Port is 10 minutes away. However it was a bit dodgy to walk to the hotel at night as the streets seem very different at that time. Staff is very friendly and breakfast was very substantial.

Clean and cheap hotel no more than 5 minutes walking from city centre or Vieux-Port. Vicinity of St.Georges rail station (beware there´s a very big stairs) with a nice variety of good restaurants and brasseries. The room was very small but OK for a short stay. Free wifi avaliable. Breakfast very tasteful in Ibis style. I reccommend it.

Stayed here for 5 nights while attending a conference at the l'Université d'Aix-Marseille. The rooms and hotel were quite clean and modern, and the staff were friendly. The snacking menu, useful for the night you arrive and don't have time to find somewhere to eat, is not that great as from what I saw is a choice of reheated frozen... More

Great little hotel. Clean, great staff and service. Just down the corner from the main train station for rail travelers 5-10 walk to harbour and all sites. Real value this place. Friendly, quiet, clean and comfortable. I will return here.

I'm not kidding, this place is steps from the TVG in Marseille France. Great place to stay, clean and convenient to shops and restaurants. Take a walk around and explore the area there's lots of interesting places to sample. Has breakfast for an extra 10 euros a day.
