Hi again, my wife, daughter and I have stayed in this hotel for a week in January , 2013. We have booked a Luxury room with fireplace we have not been disappointed. The room is large enough or a family of 3 or even 4 . It has a large bathroom, separate area for an extra bad (for kids) with...

We selected the Hotel Albert 1er for its exclusiveness, world-class restaurant, and amazing La Ferme rooms. We were not disappointed on any of these levels. We had a memorable Christmas Eve dinner at their 2-Michelin starred restaurant and the food was absolutely incredible. The sommelier assisted with our selection of wines for the duration of our 6-day trip and was...

The hotel grounds, reception areas, and rooms were all wonderful! We enjoyed the beautiful view of Mont Blanc as we sat on the balcony of our room (Room 10). The staff was friendly and helpful. Fireplace in the room was a nice touch!

We were here one night - simply because it was the only room we could find during the North Face Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc race. I wish we could have taken advantages of the amenities but we were out and about in Chamonix - not a bad thing. Raves for the room, the service, the location, the restaurant (La...

Absolutely loved this hotel! We stayed in July and I can’t wait to return and see it in the winter season. We loved: - Beautiful, idyllic grounds – almost picture postcard setting - Gorgeous pool and spa to relax in - We dined at the restaurant (La Maison Carrier) and enjoyed every minute - from the ambience to the food...

Despite staying only a few days my wife and I shared some of our most memorable times at this hotel. The views were amazing, the staff friendly and professional and the room were spacious, clean and comfortable. This hotel is definitely worth a visit and Chamonix is a must see destination.

My husband and I stayed in seventeen relais and chateau and five star hotels this summer in Tuscany, Peidmont, Vevey, Lausanne, French alps and Swiss alps. This was a trip of a lifetime for us. The Hotel Albert was our absolute favorite hotel for their professional friendly service, exceptional knowledge and presentation of wines and various Savoy dishes and their...

Modern, very well decorated and spacious rooms with balcony and fireplace. Huge bathroom. Impeccable cleanliness and the type of service you would expect from a Relais et Châteaux. If you want to treat yourself in Chamonix, this is the place to go.

Stayed for five days in May with my wife and young (3month) child. The well-appointed room had a generous balcony overlooking Mont Blanc, a large bathroom, and a super-comfy bed. They had also provided a crib, changing pad, and formula bottle heater! Good start. Two things sum up this hotel perfectly. 1) we had room service the first night. It...

Are you kidding me.....this is the reason why I don't drink the Trip Advisor cool aid. This hotel is the best in Chamonix by far and one of the best hotels in the Alps period. The rooms in Hameau are beautiful and spacious. Granted the rooms in the main hotel are a little tight but they are spotless and pretty....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At the foot of mont Blanc, Pierre Carrier, Perrine and Grand Chef Pierre Maillet have taken over this hotel, devoted to exceptional cuisine and local delicacies, founded in 1903 by 'great grandfather Carrier'. The rooms in the main hotel or the chalets in the garden offer both modern and warm comfort. On the one hand, there is the superb menu at the Albert 1er with its elaborate recipes influenced by the Piedmont and Liguria and, on the other, the Maison Carrier restaurant with its specilaities to be enjoyed in the atmosphere of an old farmhouse or on the terrace while gazing out at the majestic beauty of mont Blanc. The indoor/outdoor swimming pool also boasts views of the eternal snows on the roof of Europe. An equally stunning and delicious address for winter or summer stay. ... more   less
