Enjoyed our stay here at Hotel de l'Arve. The hotel has a heavy ski lodge theme throughout (think knotty pine trim... everywhere!), so if you're looking for upscale, you'll probably be disappointed. However, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the location is excellent (short walk to town centre, 15 min walk to Aiguille du Midi lift). The staff...

A lovely hotel in the heart of Chamonix, walking distance to the Brevent-Flegere lift. We had a standard double room, with a balcony overlooking the river and out to the mountains. The bed was comfortable, the room cosy, clean and well-appointed. The shower over the bath was fantastic! Breakfast was buffet style but delicious and well presented, with lots of...

Very good location with walking distance to lifts (Brevent) and town center as well as ski buses just around the corner. Clean and comfortable rooms and facilities. Very friendly and service minded staff. The standard room came with a spacious wardrobe, but unfortunately lacked a fridge/mini bar.

Had a good stay at l'Arve. Room was rather small; good size bathroom. A lot of choice for breakfast. Ladies working at breakfast room are doing their job very fast but forget to look around if guests need anything.

This is a very pleasant, friendly, hotel right in the middle of Chamonix, next to the river (the Arve). It's good for outdoors types (ski locker, indoor climbing wall and gym), and has a relaxed, informal feel and very helpful long-term staff (same faces as last year). It has its own car park which is very handy. It's well priced...

We stayed in this Hotel for four nights just before the Eastern. It´s a small hotel but it has everything you need for your stay in Chamonix. Very well located in the center of the town, you have all the shops, ski rental and bus stops for the slopes within walking distance. The rooms are very small but clean and...

We stayed at the apartment of the hotel which was very comfortable. The apartment was either really new or just recently renovated with nice design and being very well equipped (they even had in the room machine to warm up the ski boots). The best thing in this apartment was its location, just a few meters away from the center,...

We stayed here for 5 nights on a ski holiday. Good location to Chamonix Centre. Ski bus a minutes walk from hotel. Our room was really small but that didn't bother us. The only thing that did bother us was the shower head over the bath. We like to shower and because there isn't a shower curtain it doesn't matter...

This is my review for our stay in October 2014. Do look at the photos. They show the rooms that aren't in the ads, but you might get one! We had reserved the best room they offer almost a full year in advance. The ad photos show the best of rooms but it is apparently a crap shoot whether you...

We spent four days at this hotel and enjoyed every minute. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and even our golden retriever was treated like a welcomed guest. The rooms are spacious, mix of modern and cozy and kept clean and welcoming. The afternoon tea time was the perfect way to wind down after skiing. The heated ski room was...
