We picked this hotel on a road trip and did so beacuse of the reviews It was perfect. The staff were especially nice and extremely helpful. The location was ideal, a short walk from the old town or a Tram stop across the road which great if you were not feeling energetic

Gallia is nice, small hotel with the friendly staff. Location was good, close to main tram and just a little walk to the centrum of Grenoble. Our room was small but it was good enough for to person. Only big minus comes from toiets mouldy ceiling. However hotel Gallia has good price-quality relation.

Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel staff speak fair to good English and always try to help. The air conditioning is excellent and the rooms are very quiet. Location is a 15 minute walk from the Grenoble old town area, which has lots of bistros, cafes, and fun things to do.

This may be a 2* hotel but it was perfectly adequate for a business trip. Situated near to a tram route, it was conveniently placed for travel from the train station at Grenoble. The warm welcome from English-speaking Pierre at reception set the tone for this visit for 3 days. He was particularly helpful during the period when SNCF was...

My partner and I chose Hotel Gallia for a trip to Grenoble. I had lived in Grenoble as a student and wanted to show my partner the city and see what had changed in the 13 years I had been away. There wasn't a lot of options for the dates we wanted and Gallia seemed to have good reviews and...

Unless you pay extra for the re-furbished larger rooms, you will quickly become very claustrophobic in the tiny rooms, the shower and WC would not pass UK regulations and the decor / bedding is tired and dated. Having said that, the desk staff, and the cleaning staff, are amongst the friendliest and most helpful you will ever meet re: tips...

Hotel Gallia is great for a base camp from which to explore Grenoble and the surrounds. The warm welcoming and very helpful staff make the hotel even more attractive! I would definitely recommend staying there.

The hotel has been completely renewed (hopefully the price won't rise), the room was very nice and clean (see pic). The service is very good and people are very nice and friendly. Breakfast is a bit expensive (9€) but the price is in-line with other hotels. The location is fine, 10/15 min walk to the city centre.

We just passed by this nice looking hotel, parked the car in front and checked in without a reservation. Very friendly welcome by the efficient, helpful and english speaking receptionist. We opted for the newly refurbished part of the hotel for €65 a night excl €9 p.p. for the breakfast buffet in a, on hindsight, nicely decorated but stuffy room....
