This hotel truly is beautiful! Our room was clean, nicely decorated and very spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable. We loved the small touch of getting a note about the next days weather. The only negative would be the staff who seemed a bit snooty. The location is ok, very central - but i would have preferred being closer to...

If you want to eat great food at reasonable prices, head for this hotel's great chef, Cyril Bosviel. We stayed here and every meal was a delight. We're only sorry we didn't all our meals there. I don't know why he doesn't have a star, but he should. I understand he trains chefs at the cooking school there. The hotel...

Le Royal Lyon is a wonderfully luxurious hotel perfectly situated on Place Bellecour. Our room, a Royale Luxe, was plenty of space for two and was super-clean. We booked a package that included breakfast (an excellent selection of tastes so beautifully presented) and a glass of champagne in their oft-vacant lounge. The sitting room just off the lobby is a...

I cancelled a room with this motel, they refunded my money. All was ok. But one month after the refund they billed my credit card. Watch out you you give your credit card details too. They will not answer my emails and refuse to refund my money. WATCH OUT

Unfortunately we only had one night at this hotel, but I definitively plan to go back. The hotel interior was fantastic in every detail. Our room was almost like a small suite with a separate WC and bathroom, a separate walk in closet for our bags and all of our stuff. The room was airy with a huge bed and...

I stayed at Le Royal for three nights end July and was told I was being upgraded to a larger room when I checked in. The hotel was for me a delightful visual experience: I loved the China blue room I was given with the China Blue 'exquise tapisserie', 'incroyablement confortable' feather down bed; the delicate white flower bone china...

Very friendly staff and clean room. We enjoyed our visit to this hotel and the city. The concierge recommendations were spot on. A tourist office is right across the street. This location worked well for myself, my wife and our 8 year old daughter. Nice walking streets nearby, the old town was an easy 5/10 minute walk. We stayed 6...

This was a wonderful hotel, but this is 2011, and I think that the public areas should have been air conditioned! The rooms were air conditioned, but not the beautiful lobby. So if we were waiting downstairs, we would be hot. Don't they realize that? Another major problem was that the electricity went out for several hours in the morning....

We stayed in a "red" Suite Royale Bellecour for a weekend. Chosen over the Sofitel which was slightly more expensive and slightly further away from the sites and shopping. + Decently priced room booked relatively early. I am not sure how much better the full suite is than the junior suite (which was the same price when I booked). There...

This is a lovely hotel. We stayed in the Junior Suite and it was great, with a separate master bedroom (with its own full bathroom!), lovely decor and fantastic views of the city. Its location is very convenient- a great point to begin exploring the city. There is only one downside to Le Royal, and that is the parking situation....
