The hotel is unfortunately located in the planning disaster from the 70s which is Perrache. To walk anywhere you have to walk through a rather unwelcoming subway which provides access to either the city centre by foot in approx ten minutes or you can access the rail station and tram and metro links. The staff are very good and friendly... More

This is a nice value hotel near one of the major train and metro stations. The rooms were the best we have seen in Europe for our budget price range. However, the hotel was not located near any major activities or the center of Lyon, and the bathroom was very small, with the shower practically on top of the toilet.... More

We stayed just one night at this cozy hotel. It was the best option in price/location downtown and it's just 5 min away from the second main train station. It's quite near to the city centre (not walking distance) and the staff were helpful with all our questions

Our 6 night stay at the Hotel Victoria was lovely. The staff are exceedingly helpful and friendly, the location is wonderfully accessible by tram and underground metro (only a 2 minute walk from Parache station) and the room, though modest in size was beautifully clean and comfortable. We would certainly recommend this hotel to friends or family staying in Lyon.

the hotel victoria is a surprise. firstly its on the wrong side of the rail tracks and near a prison, but its quiet, the rooms are tastefully decorated and clean, and the amazing St George brasserie is right across the road. i'll definitely stay here again.

I stayed here to attend a conference. The main reason for staying here was to try the restaurant opposite. I’m glad I did. The staff are very helpful and friendly, even with my poor school boy French - yes they speak English as well. The lift is typical for this period of French building- small. But there are stairs of... More

We recently had a two night stay in the Hotel Victoria. The price was very reasonable for a double room which was smart with a compact shower room. I cannot understand complaints about this as it was perfectly adequate, with a high powered ( and hot) shower head. from this location we walked easily into the sights of Lyon and... More

Excellent location near one of the main TGV stations at Perrache. Staff were welcoming and were expecting me after I called earlier in the day to advise of my late arrival. Room was very small, but I was just grabbing some kip for a few hours before continuing my onward journey. Would recommend for a night or two, but would... More

The location is not in the city centre but just next to train station, Gare de Lyon-Perrache. There is a good Freance restaurant on the opposite side, I didn't try but a lot of local people came in the evening. The room was very small even I don't bother with the side of the room normally but when I consider... More

The hotel was pretty nice and the staff were very helpful. It is well situated but it is a bit tricky to find it specially at night time and I felt a little bit unsafe walking around some of the streets at night. Very close to the main square and loved walking about the center. The room was nice although... More
