We stayed here just for one night en route to a longer stay in the Black Forest. The location was good as it was a 10 minute walk from the central station and on the corner of the City’s main st where shops and bars are located. The room was quite compact, the shower was powerful, though the cubical was a bit tight. There wasn’t a fridge which might have been an issue for us if we had stayed longer. The room also didn’t have a kettle but hot drinks were available down at the reception. The booking also included breakfast which was good, plenty of continental options together with scrambled egg and sausage as hot options. The only disappointing aspect was no toaster. Overall we were happy we chose City Hotel and would certainly stay again on a future trip to the City.

Superb location, close to every attraction and right on the edge of the pedestrian district. My sister and I loved this hotel. The beds were super comfortable and rooms provided every amenity possible. Service and large comprehensive, delicious breakfasts (open until 10 a.m.) are just the beginning of this amazing small hotel. It was pristine in its cleanliness, and the staff from front desk to breakfast servers were polite, helpful and genuinely sought to provide 5 star service. Innkeeper Eiko Schulthesis went beyond the call in helping us with travel plans and suggestions to make our stay perfect. As a seasoned traveler staying in great hotels, I would rank this one right up there with the best. While there is no mini-bar, there are wine shops and a wonderful Aldi's a half block away where all sorts of local wines and spirits can be purchased.

Great location, rooms were spotless, underground parking (for a fee) if you were driving. Hotel staff was super friendly. Free breakfast was decent! Would highly recommend as it’s very close to the main plaza and attractions.

Chose the hotel for the location next to the train station because I had an early train to catch, less then 5 minutes walk. Stayed there before and will return again. Friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms, good wifi
