If you're walking from the main train station to the hotel, get ready for a bit of a hike as it's all uphill (it seems like everywhere you go in Triberg is uphill from wherever you are). While it's a bit of a trek from the train station, the hotel is in a great place as it's close to a... More

I am just home from a short holiday to Triberg and couldn't get on line quick enough to recommend Hotel Pfaff! I have read some other reviews of this spot and I really have no idea where the bad reviews are coming from! It is located directly in front of the waterfall with great views all around. The rooms were... More

This quaint family run hotel is directly across from the entrance to Triberger Falls. We got two last minute rooms, one with an end balcony facing the falls, and one on the street side. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, but what we loved most of all were the lounges outside the rooms decorated with all kinds of... More

Ancient wooden houses and hotels, "Live-in" cuckoo clocks, dark forests and the highest waterfall in Germany! Pull the other leg! No, no, they exist -- in the Hansel and Grethel village of TRIBERG in the Black Forest! It's been there a long time and it's a mixture today of old timber-framed houses, hotels and restaurants clinging to the deep valley... More

We've stayed here a couple of times now on our way through the Black Forest. 40 euro each for a side room. No balcony with the room, but there are a couple of large shared balconies for sitting out if you don't want to be in the bar/restaurant terrace. For 44 euro each you get a room with a private... We landed here after our reservation at another hotel fell through. Despite arriving after 10 pm they quickly found us a room and even left the kitchen open to make us a light supper. The room was large and clean with a small en suite shower room. They have a great buffet breakfast severed in a beautifully decorated breakfast room.... More

My family and I went there for lunch just before visiting the waterfall. We were "welcomed" by a waitress who didn't even smile (well that's typical German service). But she said loudly "lunch time is over and we only have small menu". We were very hungry so we decided to leave. But she started loudly and rudely telling us that... More

We did not stay at the hotel but ate there and were totally disappointed by the quality of the meals. The sauce for esparges was oiled , potatoes not warm inside and for a big salad came only two slides of tomatoe and curcumber and three salad. And we paid a lot in comparison with normal german prices. Only service... More

We have stayed at this hotel more times than I can count. The staff there has always been wonderful and the food in restaurant has always been excellent! Typical German Fruhstuck (breakfast) and many places throughout upstairs that are quiet for lounging or reading. Love the setting.....quaint and peaceful! I will always stay here when we return to the Black... More

My husband and I were travelling with my parents in August. We always visit Triberg while in Germany, but usually stay outside the town. It was getting a bit later and after walking around for a couple of hours, we decided to try to stay in town. We entered this establishment, and were greated fairly promptly, though treated like we... More
