I found Hotel zum Ritter St. Georg after storming out and canceling reservations at a neighboring hotel that apparently did not want the business of the 100+ Americans I was organizing an event for. Obviously upset, I was searching primarily for friendly service, and found it at this property. Every member of their staff was very accommodating. Additionally, the building...

A beautiful renaissance building right at the hard of old town Heidelberg. Personnel is friendly and helpful, prices are good and you receive great value for money. The rooms could use an update so as to match the beautiful facade. As the hotel has just recently been taken over by a new management I am sure this will be done...

The historic building could have a great potential, but the poor service and non attractive side buildings can ruin your expectation and experience: the rooms of one same category vary considerably and accordingly the images shown online can be very deceiving. Having reserved online a room of the second category with view onto the market place which had been clearly...

Fantastic location in pedestrian area. In the middle of altstad (old town) facing a square, the church and the town hall. Parking indoors in P12 (not affiliated with hotel), 2 minutes by foot from hotel. Great breakfast. With Sekt! Attentive staff. Gave us a Xmas gift - small bag with chocolates, nuts and fruit. Our room is very large. The...

We were unable to stay at our first nights hotel for more than one night. So for our second nights stay we moved to the Ritter. They were very accommodating. Our room was spacious and clean. Not the best view but, we didn't mind because we spent most of our time outdoors exploring the beautiful city. The hotel has such...

set in a fantastic building 5 centuries old, this hotel has been operating as such for over 3 centuries! it's right in the heart of old town (i.e. the tourist trap) but is hard to resist as it's so central and easy to get around to the wonderful attractions of heidelberg. be warned, the hotel is slightly dated and needs...
